Mainly Red or Anything Goes for the CCC!

Hello To Everyone, how are you all doing? I hope all is well with you and that your weekend is going well.  We are fine and dandy, thankfully, and hoping to go for a run to Aviemore later this afternoon.

I had a wonderful treat yesterday....I went to visit Damian, and after a bit of discussion decided to take a chance and go into the house, thankfully they have a big enough sitting room to socially distance ourselves, however certainly couldn't with Milo and Rowan, who were all over me. I've not been with them since the start of lockdown months ago, neither have I seen Moreen, so it was just wonderful. I don't know whether it was me or the jumbo bones that caused the dogs' excitement, I like to think it was me. Anyway it was good to have a good old catch up. Damian has been told to work from home now, not to even bother going into the office even for one day a weeks, he's happy, and Moreen continues to work from home too. This may become the new normal for many people.

So, it's time once again for the Christmas Card Club to show their creations and it's our lovely Lorraine who has chosen the theme, which is Mainly Red, or of course if you can't manage that,  Anything goes.

I would like to enter this card into https://scrapsoflifebyscrappymo.blogspot.com/2020/08/august-rudolph-days-challenge.html

Two very cute images from LOTV, digital sheets, so I didn't have to colour. On the first card I've used a backing paper from Dovecraft, and s snowflake embossing folder, and lots of glitter.

I used a snow globe die from the Works on this second card, and Paper from First Edition, again lots of sparkle and gems.

I had almost forgotten about the challenge, this last fortnight has whizzed past, so I had to do something quick, so I hope they will do Lorraine. Thank you for the challenge, once I got started it was fun.

Do check out the creations the other girls in the team make, there's always fabulous cards.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my last coloured page, as always you are very kind.

Thanks me for now, enjoy your Sunday, and take care of yourselves,

I've just come back to see if anyone is have the same problem with some of the photos of the cards being cut off. I've noticed this in the last few posts, not when I first changes over to the new blogger, so I'm not sure what has happened in the meantime. Does anyone know of this and how I can change it. I wont go back to the old style blogger as it's about to change soon anyway, any advice will be appreciated.

How lovely for you to visit your family yesterday Kate, we take such things for granted until it's not possible don't we. Two of our boys and families live many miles away so not seen them since early part of the year which seem like forever.

Two very cheery and happy Christmas cards, the second would fit into our Circles theme at Allsorts a treat.

Love your fun cards Kate. Sounds like you had a super time out. I can imagine it was fun with the pets! We are so thankful for our fur babies during lockdown for entertainment and fun, but yes the idea of social distancing has passed them by. Keep safe lovely xx

Two beautiful cards, you can size them down, I found a box popped up and there is a - button it’s quite small press it and the picture will reduce down. You can either put them in the middle or either side, press the photo and the long box should pop up. Hope this helps.

Yes it’s lovely to see friends again, we went out to lunch to meet friends, thus week, we meet up half way between us, we had not seen each other since 12th feb. Great catch up like you it’s so nice to see friends.

Hope you have a nice weekend

Ahhh both your cards are fantastic, I love them. Its great to hear that your son can still work from home. Such a worry with them going out and mixing once again. I have hated Jake being in Aberdeen for work the last few weeks with there being back in lockdown. Thanks for joining in with me over on Fezziwigs, Hazel xx

I really had fun doing this weeks theme. I pulled out so many red papers and elements that
I have enough left for at least another 6 cards.one of the tartan paper is the one you have used here on your card. I do like to see tartan on a Christmas card.. these two are excellent ambassadors for the theme. Hugs Mrs A.

Your cards look great, Kate. I must say this theme had me stumped. I thought the whole card had to be red! How silly am I?
Yours are perfect...lots of red and yet not too much!

Think I shall have to make something now and post it late...with lots of red in it...

Thanks for taking part in the August Rudolph Days Challenge.

These are both so wonderful and your eye for detail and design is always spot on. I wish I knew how to fix blogger - I get big S P A C E S between my sentences, lol. Glad you were able to have a good visit with your son and I'm sure the dogs were over the moon with their bones. Two beautiful bright Christmas cards Kate and the snowflake embossing looks great as a background with the first LOTV image, and then the snow globe is so pretty and love the paper too. I see from your most recent post that you seem to have fixed the photo problem so won't talk about that..lol. x

These are both super cute, I am so in love with the Simply prints at the moment, I am running short and cannot get any markers just yet so they let me be creative still, shaleise was supposed to be going back to work next week but they have pushed in to the end of October, so she is happy working from home, its been 6 months now and she really likes it, and it makes me feel happy knowing she is safe, I think its now the new normal thing and will be for a long time to come, hugs Pops x
