Two Playful Kitties!

Hello All, I hope you are well and have had a good day.
Can you believe it's the beginning of another weekend!! Time slow down please!!

We have had some gorgeous weather over the last few days, bright sunny days, albeit very cold and it was a day for getting out for a walk this morning. We went up Ord Hill which is a hill with an old Pictish fort at the top of it. Dating from 83-84 AD and built in defence against General Agricola who was the Roman governor, in the Battle of Mons Graupius.  Obviously the Romans won the battle. Anyway, it was a lovely walk and the views over the Moray Firth are stupendous, and not too taxing for yours truly and as usual we stopped half way round to have a coffee and a biscuit.

Anyway, here is my card for today;
I received these two lovely kitten stamps from my lovely friend Mr.s Duck and I thought they were perfect to send to her on the occasion of  her adoption of two little kitties, who apparently are hooligans. The stamps are by Creative Expressions and I've used watercolours, the grasses around them are by CB and the sentiment is from JND.

I've been rather busy over the last few days so a quiet weekend is called for. We went to the cinema on Wednesday morning..... Senior Citizens morning, got in for a fiver, brilliant, anyhow the film was Journey's End, a really powerful film that had originally been a book and play back in the 1920s . The action all takes place during WW1 in one of the British trenches. Well worth going to see, sad thing is the powers that be have never learnt from awfulness of that war.
The book was one that I had to read and interpret for Higher English back in the day, and after all these years, my views have not changed.

Here are the views from our walk, we really do live in a beautiful part of the world.

That's me for now,  enjoy your weekend whatever you are doing, and thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my previous card, take care of yourselves,

What a beautiful card! I'm so in love with those kitty cats, how darling! WOW, I can't believe that is where you live, I am so completely jealous!! So gorgeous and peaceful looking! We've had mild weather too, but I find it just a tease since we don't really get spring here until May. hugs :)

Your card makes me smile Kate. Those little kittens really do look like they're getting into mischief and I'm sure that your friend will be thrilled with it. Lovely photos and yes, you do live in a beautiful part of the world, stunning views. It was my birthday back in January and we went to the cinema to see 'The Greatest Showman' which was a fabulous film. The cinema is very expensive these days but it was well worth it. Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend. Crafty hugs, Sandra x

Sweet kitten stamps! Love the scene you have created with them, so darn cute. Love the pictures you posted so beautiful. I did my DNA because I do genealogy, and I have a wee bit of Scottish in me. You really do live in a beautiful part of the world.

Always enjoyed sharing in your scenic adventures (vicariously!) and thanks for adding the gorgeous pictures. Sounds like a fascinating place to visit knowing the ancient history of the spot. I'm not familiar with the movie you mentioned, but I usually enjoy that time period for movie settings. Your card is delightful and what a perfect card to celebrate a new adoption...and shows your recipient how much you appreciated her kindness of the image gift. Wonderful work with the watercolors and the grasses look extremely well executed! TFS & Hugs

Hi Kate,
yes you do live in a wonderful and very pretty part of the world.
I can vouch for that and the people who live there are so nice and friendly too.
Would love to come back at sometime but sadly I think that is never going to happen now we both can't drive.

Your card is wonderful and what a super design too.
Love the stamped kitties and the lovely background you have created.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

They do look rather playful and I love your colouring of them. Hope you don't get to much of the snow that we are expecting in the coming days. Hugs Mrs A.

These CE cats are so cute Kate and loved the way you have watercoloured them, and glad you have had an enjoyable week with your trip to the cinema and love the beautiful photos of your walk. It shows that even when it is cold you can have an enjoy a bit of hiking, and if you didn't know you would think it was a hot summer's day and the scenery is absolutely gorgeous. x
