Trinket Box!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and keeping cosy in this cold and snowy weather. We are in the minuses tonight, anyway it is December.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my last cards, you are all very kind.

I've been finding it difficult to get to the computer to post and comment, so if I've missed you out please forgive. I don't know where the time goes and I've not managed to get back into a routine.  since my trip to Glasgow, but I expect you are all the same. I did manage to get all my cards written and sent off today, that felt a relief.  Still to look out the Christmas decorations too, that's going to have to wait until the weekend, anyway here is my make for today, it's part of a gift for my choir buddy Fiona;

I bought this little box from The Works and have decorated it with Imagination Crafts Rice Paper and various stamps and stencils, Starlight Paints are the paints of choice and some sequins. I have to say I loved doing it, I hope Fiona likes it.

It's the Choral Society's Carolthon on Saturday and I am really looking forward to the big sing, we will be in the local shopping centre singing all day...in shifts and this time for a number of years we are being allowed a larger choir at lunch time to the special Carols and pieces from the Messiah. Here is the fabulous flyer for it, drawn by a little girl from one of the local schools;
isn't just so sweet. I hope we manage to raise loads of money, however saying that, there are lots of people struggling just now, but you never know.

That's me for now, see you soon and take care of yourselves,

This is so beautiful Kate, I love it! The Imagination Rice papers are fabulous and so easy to work with too. Your friend will be delighted with it, I'm sure. Stay warm my friend. I too will be putting our Christmas tree and decorations up this weekend, with the help of our grandson. It is a lovely time of year but oh so many things to think about and do. Having said that, we all get there in the end lol.

The box looks gorgeous.I love the colours you have chosen. Still got this wretched flu bug hanging around. I did pass it onto The Doc who only had it for four days and now I have it back again. Struggling to post at the moment too. I made the last 5 cards today for the neighbours so they are hand deliveries but it took me all day to do such a simple designed card. Cold and miserable here in Hampshire.
Ref 'The Cat'. No she is a stuffed one but doesn't she look real. I had a real cat just like her I will pop a picky up on my side bar of her. There is a toy shop in Italy (Rome) (it is quite famous)that sells all these very authentic looking stuffed animals. They have tigers and some really big animals on show. Soon as I saw this one I had to bring her back home with me so no cats were harmed in the making of my post. Hugs Mrs A.

This is a fantastic gift for your buddy, and of course I love these birds. Good job on making it so pretty. The box reminded me of a long ago hobby when we decoupaged every surface. Good luck with the catchup, I think all of us are rather behind (I know I am!) Hope you have good weather for the concert, and raise lots of funds. Some awesome talent with this little school girl and the flyer. TFS, take care and Merry Christmas too. Hugs
