Fressias

Hello Everyone, I hope all is good with you, it is Friday after all and almost the weekend.
I know that some of you are struggling a bit just now, so sending out kind and healing thoughts to you and I hope that life gets easier for you soon.

Thank you for all the lovely comments on my last card and the commiserations regarding my needle.. well it's not turned up and I've had to order another set and was hoping they would arrive before we go off to our friends in Livingston which we are about to do after lunch time.  I wanted to take this particular knitting project with me in the hope that I would get the socks finished whilst away.

We are off to the Edinburgh Jazz Festival and so looking forward to not only that but visiting with Dale and Stewart as we haven't seen them in such a long while so there will be loads to catch up with.

My card today is a beautiful Freesia image drawn by Jane from Tidy Gardens, unfortunately Jane no longer has these digital images, I am lucky enough to have a few of them.

I've used one of the new Crafters Companion 3D embossing folders and and coloured it a bit with DI. The blooms themselves are coloured with SN Colourblend pencils and some Sparkle Pen. A wee bit matting and layering and job done.

Now as we will be away, I will be sporadic with my commenting,  but I will try and get to visit when I can.

Have a lovely weekend whatever you're doing and see you when I get back,
I would like to enter  this card into http://theflowerchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2017/07/the-flower-challenge-10-embossing.html

Beautiful card Kate. That is a lovely image of the freesia. What a shame about your needle. It will turn up as soon as the new ones arrive ;) Have a fabulous time at the Jazz Festival and with your friends.

Gorgeous card Kate! I love the yellow and orange palette, it's such a bright and cheery combo! The flowers are just lovely with the shimmery petals and the stitched frames! Beautiful!! Wow, you didn't find your needle after all. You know that 2 days after your new needles arrive, you'll find it tucked under a cushion somewhere. That's Murphy's law for you!! Sending wishes for a happy weekend my friend! hugs :)

Such a pretty card with wonderful colors. Yellow is such a bright and happy color and I love red with yellow.
Oh how I wish I could join you in Edinburgh - but it is much to far away - I love the UK!!

Great card Kate. Oh dear not good to loose a needle at least it's big enough to be noticed not like a sewing one. Enjoy your festival and meeting with your friends. I don't know about you but the weeks just disappear.

The 3D embossing in the background goes beautifully with your prettily coloured freesias Kate and the red oval frame stands out so well against the pretty yellow in the background. I hope you have a great time at the Edinburgh Jazz Festival. x

Oooh this is pretty Kate - I have a few of her images myself but have been very naughty and haven't used them yet - ooops! Love freesias and would say they are my favourite flower tbh. The colouring you've done is beautiful and I can almost smell them (if I shut my eyes and use my imagination through the ether - lol). Super card! Before I go I hope you had a lovely time in Livingston and have your needle now! :o)

Big hugs to you and a purr from Biscuit to Teallach Sue Pxxx
