The Not So Ugly Bug Ball!

Hello Everyone, did you all enjoy the Bank Holiday?? I hope so and that your weather was as good as ours here in the North of Scotland.  Today is lovely too and seems like the week is to be good.

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my Christmas cards, it is very kind of you.
Getting a fair old amount in the Christmas box now and it does really make all the difference when December arrives. If anyone wants to join us just get in touch and I can steer you in the right direction.

Well the Great Adventurer arrived back yesterday having had a marvellous time and all sunburned, so the rain dances didn't work.  What was hilarious though was that Alistair and his friend Jack, as they came through the door both asked how the concert went, before any hellos or Honey I'm home was uttered.  I think, there was some discussion in the tepee about my annoyance and  that it would be a good thing when arriving home to make sure it was the first thing that was asked. I could hardly keep a straight face. Men they really haven't a clue. I think Jack was roped into it in case Alistair forgot, lol.

Anyway, the concert was brilliant, all went well and the hard work of the months paid off. The soloists were marvellous, especially the Soprano who's voice was so clear and boy could she reach the high notes. Here is a couple of photos taken at the rehearsal in the afternoon;
A small selection of the first and second Sopranos, I'm just behind the lady with the white hair,
This is the full choir, orchestra and soloists sitting in front. We are a very big choir, around 140 now, when I joined away back in 2004 there were only 80.

So that's us done and dusted until we resume in August, so we have a lovely long break.

Here is my card and it's one I just loved putting together;
I just love these little bug stamps from Card-io, aren't they just so cute. The tortoises decided to have a Bug Ball and invited all their friends, even the birds which was a risky thing to do, but I guess they all got along.  The stamps are a mixture of Card-io, Inkylious, and freebies from Creative Magazines, I think they all work together.  Versa colour inks for the background and a bit of sparkle.

a wee bit more close up.  I hope you like it, it's not for anyone or any particular occasion, it just tickled me to make it.

That's me for now, have s great day and I'll see you soon,

Hi Kate
Have you gone short with your hair?
Looks like a fabulous ensemble (the choir, not your hair ....... well of course your hair looks fabulous too, but you know what I mean!).
Men are so transparent and naive to think we don't realise lol!
Anyhoo, you have now given me an earworm with that song now after seeing this delightful card ....... 🎵"Come on lets crawl......" 🎶

There's a lot of stamping going on here with lots of interesting things to look at. I love the colours that you've used too. The choir looks amazing and I bet it sounds even better. I must be lovely to be part of something like that. Take care Kate and enjoy the rest of your week. Crafty hugs, Sandra x

I'm so pleased to hear that your concert went well and that Alistair is home safe and sound - if a little sheepish!

One of my favourite kind of cards are the ones I make just for me. With nobody or no occasion in particular in mind, just using what I fancy. This card really turned out fantastic Kate! I just love all the wonderful animals getting along together! You've created a lovely spring day in a field I would really like to visit!! Beautiful creation!! hugs :)

I see you, I see you!!!! I wish I could attend one of your concerts! So you know a few rain dances. We really need rain here in Northern Florida.
