Festive Foliage for the CCC!

Hi there Folks, here we are again sharing our cards for the Christmas Card Club, these fortnightly challenges come around so quickly.

We are a group of Get Ahead of Christmas Card Crafters, and we all take a turn of choosing a theme and this time it's Rachel who wants to see some Festive Foliage on our cards, here is what I've come up with;
Using a selection of Card-io stamps and Versacolours inks to create a winter wreath, finishing off with a few sequins.
This card is made with a lovely Chocolate Baroque sentiment stamp as the main focus from the Christmas Cheer stamp set, along with a beautiful holly flourish. My background is made with swooshing DIs and adding Pixi Powders, which is not showing up too well.

Rachel, I loved making these, so thank you so much for the theme.

I am scheduling this post for tomorrow as if the weather is good we will go for a drive.

Thank you all for your lovely comments on my previous card, you are all so kind.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend, and the weather is better than here, dull and dreich, but it's a good day for some crafting and at the same time as I'm typing this I'm watching "The Big Country", wonderful movie and two of my mostest favourite actors, Charlton Heston and Gregory Peck, what handsome men they were, can't think of anyone nowadays who even comes close to them.  I also love the fabulous music score, Bernstein knew how to put a tune together.

See you soon,

Beautiful cards! That wreath is just lovely and the sequins are quite magical!! Your background on the second card is so amazing, a whirlwind of colours with a touch of shimmer, love it!! I used to really enjoy the older movies. You're sure right about the actors, they don't make them that handsome or talented anymore. Problem is I find that technology has made it more difficult for me to enjoy the storylines. I find myself saying Helllloooo, he left his fingerprints and DNA all over the crime scene! Sort of takes away from the simplicity of it all. However, Bing Crosby's White Christmas will forever remain one of my favourite holiday movies, technology be damned! lol.

Love the wreath card Kate - don't know anything about this brand of stamps. How many stamps did it take to make the wreath? And once again you are using sequins which I adore.
Speaking of movies - we went to see La La Land and loved it!

2 big winners here, Kate. I love #1, wonder if this was made with the 'peg stamps'? I don't know what the cardio stamp is. It's such a lovely look, with the soft greens, with the pale cones & red florals. I like the way you've done the shadow-ing behind the darker colors too. Like the bright 'berries' in the corners.
#2's background is just gorgeous (you know I love backgrounds like this!) and it made such a nice frame & background for the gold that is in the greenery of the images. Well done, YOU! TFS & Hugs

Hi Kate
Two fabulous cards and the first one has reminded me, its a while since I got my Card-io stamps out. I managed to lose an entire set, bar one stamp (think it stuck to something and got binned) so I boo hooed and put them away.
Hope you got your drive out.

Lovley Cards Kate. I was going to use my cardio stamps too but then I remembered I had the Ivy die cut I could use instead. The weather was not as good as yesterday but I manage to get out in the garden for quite a few hours. Hope you enjoyed your drive. Hugs Mrs A.

Two lovely cards. The first wreath is fabulous. Looks like you built up your wreath with a variety of stmaps and they look great.
I was originally making a diecut wreath and then colouring it but changed to this decoupaged card instead.

Your second card is sso pretty. Loving that fabulous background.

So glad we have heat. There is about 8 inches of snow and it is still falling. The roads are really bad and school is closed tomorrow. I have the kiddies all day so will dream up some craft for them.

Still in shock over the furnace as we needed a new blower and sensor...with the total bill close to $1000. It will be a no craft buying month for me! teehee
