Good Morning Everyone, I hope all is well with you and that you have the marvellous sunshine that we have up here in Inverness. It's boiling, I sat outside to have a coffee and had to come back indoors, even Teallach who loves lying in the sun has sought out cooler corners.
Thank you all so much for the lovely comments about my Oldie card.
Time for another Card for the Christmas Card Club and this time the choice was from Rita who wants to see cards made with Christmas Carols in mind. I've made two, here is my first one;
Well of course the carol is in the sentiment which is one of Sue Wilson's, and amazing I got it to cut, I think the embossing folder is from SB. I made this one last year, hope I've not shown it, I don't think so, very simple one really.
Now for my second card I've taken a bit of artistic licence so to speak;
Not a Christmas carol, but from a Christmas Carol and one of Dicken's most famous characters, the redeemable Mr. Scrooge. I think this is a Mo Manning image, had it for ages and made a card for Alistair with this a few years ago. Coloured with Derwent Colour pencils, and used paper from an old Making Cards magazine, which went perfectly with my colours.
I had this card in mind for friends who don't celebrate Christmas as such and I always look for a humorous one for them, I think this will fit the bill.
I've been taking my photos with my new tablet and I think this is why I have a far away image, must try and fix that one, but If you click to magnify you should see it better.
The other team members are on my sidebar, so do visit them and see the fabulous cards they make, and if you fancy getting ahead with your festive cards, do get in touch and I will point you in the direction of how you can join us.
That's all for me today, enjoy your Sunday whatever you're doing and see you soon,

Two very different cards but both fabulous in there own way. The traditional one is gorgeous but the second one made me smile. Maybe you need to change the sentiment to "Bah Humbug" ... lol! Hugs Christine xx
2 perfect cards for the challenge. My second card is a bit tongue in cheek. Hope the weather is nice for bank holiday Monday. Hugs Mrs A.
Good Afternoon Kate. Two perfect cards for the challenge. Love them both, but Silent Night is my favourite. Thank you for taking part in my challenge. We too have been enjoying the sunshine, it makes a nice change from the unsettled weather we've had. Enjoy your Day. Hugs Rita xxxx
Lovely cards Kate...I love that Sue Wilson die....makes a great card, and your second card really made me smile!
Hope the weather up there holds as we are heading up to Tain to see Aunty on Thursday....it's cool here even put some heating on today!
Enjoy the rest of the long weekend xxxx
Two super cards Kate. I have that embossing folder and use it a lot. I love the die you've used. The second card did make me smile. It's a lovely image and sounds perfect for your friends.
A few years ago I went on a turkey and tinsel trip with a friend. When we set off all the other coaches were decorated and playing Christmas music and the drivers wearing Santa hats. Our miserable driver spent the three days saying baa humbug and moaning about Christmas and during trips out just played Wagner. Now I've nothing again Wagner but on a Christmas trip I expected something more jolly. We had the last laugh when we got home. He stood there to help all us "old girls" off the coach but he didn't get a penny in tips for his trouble. Your card reminded me of my trip away with Dear Daphne who passed away in 2012. Barbxx
Two awesome cards. Love the embossing folder you have used. Great job on both cards.
Valerija xx

Two wonderful cards Kate. I really like the gold die cut against the dark blue background, it has a very elegant feel. I just love the image on the second one and you've coloured it beautifully. . Totally different and I think it's just the perfect masculine Christmas card. Crafty hugs, Sandra X
Both cards are a great take on the challenge theme! The beloved carol on #1 is a wonderful way to show off the song title, against that gleaming blue embossing too. Cute idea with Mr. Dickens' Carol story as well. Good luck with the new tablet. Wouldn't have a clue as to how to use it. Good luck with the learning. TFS & Hugs
