Daisies in Pink and Grey!

Hello to You All, I hope you are keeping warm and cosy cos this weather ain't Spring like. We have had snow, sleet and hail today and it's been bitterly cold.

My intrepid adventurer left a cosy bed at 4:30 this morning to go and climb up Ben Wyvis, our nearest Munro, mental I know but what would I know, anyway he came back really early, quite spoiled my day, but he had to turn back a third of the way up because it was so cold, more so than in any Winter climb. So I guess it must have been cold as he has climbed in all sorts of mountains in cold conditions. He is however off to Kos on Saturday and the temperature is 28 degrees.

Thank you so very much for your kind comments on my last card, I do love to read them and appreciate each and every one of them.

Here is my card for today;
Another Sheena Douglass floral stamp, and I thought the pink and grey combination went really well with it. Just a touch of colour made with SN Aqua Pens. LC sentiment and a few Liquid Pearls.

Spend a lovely afternoon with the puppy as Damian could get home for lunch and emergency audit or something. I was hard pressed to pop in, lol.  He is such a wee darling, and doing so well. After a wee play he snuggled up beside me on the sofa whilst I read and we both fell asleep. He would have plenty of energy when Damian and Moreen got home.

That's me for tonight, I hope you like my creation, and I'll see you all soon,

For You!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all having a relaxing Sunday and the weather is good for you.  we had sunshine earlier and it was warm, but it's getting a bit chilly now.

Thanks you all very much on the lovely comments you left on Friday's post, and I knew you would all like Milo, what's not to like.
I've been over to see him this afternoon to have a wee play with him, he is great fun, and he has a fabulous new toy.... a toilet roll inner. I think he likes it best out of all his toys as he can carry it around.  He is settling into his new home really well, and the other pets are getting used to him, so no major crisis there.  As Moreen and Damian are back to work tomorrow,  will be popping in to keep him company, oh....loads of cuddles.

The concert was fabulous, a few dodgy moments at the rehearsal in the afternoon, but was all smoothed out for the performance.  Great audience appreciation and an encore, can't remember when that last happened, but the Gospel Spirituals are always brilliant, and this collection arranged by John Rutter was fabulous, finishing with "When the Saints go Marching In", we had the audience going with us.  You can't stand still whilst singing these songs, and for a formal choir, we were told to let our hair down. Great night, whacked today, so it's been a lazy day for me.

Now to my card;
This is a Carfter's Companion stamp from one of their magazines, heat embossed in clear powder and coloured with watercolours and gel pens. Background coloured with Momento Inks  The butterfly gems were not in the plan but I dropped my brown inkpad on to it, left a couple of wee marks, a quick doctor job. Mounted on to black card.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting me and  hope to see you soon,

Poppies and Milo!

Hello there folks, I hope you are well, and getting ready to head into the weekend, so I hope you have some good plans, even if not, just enjoy what you do.

It's our big concert tomorrow so I'm at the theatre from 2pm rehearsing for the performance in the evening, so it's a long day, but it's going to be a good one as the programme is lovely, and I just love the buzz when the curtain goes up and you see the audience waiting in anticipation to hear us. I'm sure they will too.

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my last card, your constant encouragement and support is so appreciated.

Here is my card for today;
This is a Sheena Douglass stamp and coloured with Gansai Kuretaki Watercolour paints, mounted on to black card and a CC border die which come free with one of their Inspiration Magazines.  Photo a bit fuzzy. this was snapped before I managed to fix my camera, with Pam's advice so thank you Pam as my newer photos are much better.

Now, here is our new arrival;
Meet Milo, he is 7 weeks old and a black lab, and Damian and Moreen have adopted him, and he loves chewing
Isn't he just a wee cutie, I've fallen in love with him already

A tired out baby, he loves his blankie and tries to take everywhere with him.

This wee chap is a bundle of fun and he will certainly keep Damian and Moreen busy, the cats have taken quite well to him, Poppy gave him a couple of whacks on his head, just to let him know who is the boss.  He is too young to bring over to meet Teallach at the moment, I think our boy just might not be so receptive of him.  I'm looking forward to taking him for walks.

That's me for tonight, hoping to visit your blogs and see what you've been doing. I won't be around tomorrow but will try and catch up when I can.
Take care everyone,

Yellow and Gold!

Good Afternoon Everyone, and I hope you are all well and fit, but if not then consider yourselves sent out some kind and positive thoughts for a speedy recovery.

Thank you all for the lovely comments on my CCC card, you are all very kind and I do appreciate the support from you all.
A warm welcome too to my latest Follower, Brenda. Brenda has been visiting for a wee while but thought she had clicked the Follow button, but didn't show up.  Blogger has really interfered with the Followers, I seem to be off a few folks radar, and I'm trying to work out who.  Why oh why if it ain't broken try and fix it??

Anyway, here is a card I made a while ago but not shared,
I've used one of the latest CB floral stamps and colours with Gansai Kuretaki watercolour paints and cut it out with an Xcut die. The background paper, is by Lesley at Chocolate Baroque, which was a freebie., Matted onto black card a bit of gold ribbon and a few gold gems.

Blustery day here, we were going to have a bit of a walk, but I hate the wind, so a no go, but I do have to go out tonight as it's our last rehearsal before our concert on Saturday, so it will be fine tuning and polishing up our singing.Although we rehearse on Saturday afternoon, it's really the orchestra and soloists who have come together for the first time that our conductor concentrates on. If we don't know our stuff by then, it's too bad, but of course we do no one likes to let Gordon down.

That's me for today, off now to have an hour or so in the craft room, so see you all soon,

And the Winner is!!

Hello to Everyone, just a quick post to announce the winner of my candy.

I use my own homemade Random thingy called Alistair, and having given everyone who entered a number, folded them up and put them in a bowl and Alistair after a rummage around picked out No.16 and that was YOU Lorraine from Rainey's Craftroom.  So Congratulations to you Lorraine.

I am so sorry that I can't offer more as I have so many fabulous and faithful Followers, but there it is just one person can win.

Thank you all so much for taking part, and I hope that you all have a lovely Sunday evening,
See you all soon,

Red Berries for the Christmas Card Club!

Well here we are again another CCC card, two weeks since our last one, can hardly believe it's time for another one.

This time our lovely Valery has chosen the challenge which is Red Berries, always so Christmassy and traditional, so without further ado here is mine;
I've use an Inkylicious  stamp which comes with the words, and my berries are made from red Liquid Pearls.  Background is inked with Momento Inks and Inkylicious Ink Dusters.
Mounted on to black card, the a lovely silvery stripped paper from Silent Night First Editions paper pad.  I didn't think it needed anything else.

I'd like to thank everyone who visited and left a comment on my last post, you are all very kind. The swans are still nesting, Alistair was having a look at them today, I hope they didn't mind the snow showers.  It has been so cold here, at one point I thought I was going to have to look out my fingerless mitts, I've had a scarf and a fleece on  all day...and the heating is on.

The other team members will be along with their fabulous creations so I hope you will have a look at them, their names are on my side bar.

Teallach has found a fly and is racing around trying to catch it, even it's come in out of the cold.

Take care everyone and enjoy the rest of your weekend,
I would like to enter my card into the following challenge:

Blog Candy!

Hello to Everyone, how are you all today, well I hope and enjoying your weekend.
The sun is shining here but pretty cold, but nevertheless, not raining,snowing or high winds, so all in all a smashing day.

Just a short post today to tell you that I have some Candy to give away. I had every intention to celebrate getting to 100 Followers, and I thought I would reach that a while back, but Blogger had other ideas and whipped some folk away from me, as they did to most of you.

However, it took time but I'm finally there, not with just 100, but 102, and it's just marvellous that so many people want to look at what I'm making and to leave a comment. The comments that you all leave are always so kind and positive and I'm so appreciative of your time. Anyway here is a picture of the Candy;
I thought that as I am loving my new Inkylicious stuff, that it might be a good idea to let other folk experience their gorgeous crafting products.  This is a super kit, that will either get you started or add to any Inkylicious good you already have.

So, if you are interested and would like to have this great kit, please leave a comment and put a picture on your side bar.   I will draw a name using my Random Machine(Alistair) on the 16th April,
I would reckon that by that time most of my Followers will have visited by then. I know that some people can only pop in occasionally.  Please no Candy only blogs.

I will post overseas, so don't feel that if you live at the other end of the world you can't be part of it all.

I'll be back tomorrow with my card for the Christmas Card Club, so see your then.

More Daisies and Beautiful Swans!

Good Evening to You, I hope you are all well and have had a lovely Sunday.

Our weather wasn't all that nice so decided not to go for a run in the car, we are certainly having April showers, and today I felt was a tad cold.  However, we had to go for a bit of food shopping so decided to have a walk at the same time thus killing two birds with one stone, and here are a couple of photos of the lovely birds we spotted on our walk;

Alistair had discovered these beauties the other week whilst he was having a walk around our University Campus, where there is a bit of a lake.  I'm not sure which swan is doing the sitting as I believe both take it in turns to sit on the eggs, but the partner was really keeping it's eye open for trouble.  It was just lovely to see them nesting with the hope of a new family.  I am rather fond of these graceful birds.

Anyway on to my card;
I have used John Lockwood's main Daisy stamp from the Dasiy set, they are so lovely to ink up, and I've just put little bits of colour with Sakura Gel pens and tipped the ends of the petals with a pink Promarker Pen.
The background is make with Creative Expressions Colour Cloud inks and the an Immagination Crafts floral stencil with Silver Starlights Paint.  Liquid Pearls and all matted on to black card.

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my last card, and a warm welcome to my new Followers, Regina and Sidelle, I hope you will return often and continue to like what I make.

It must be time for a cuppa now so I'm off to put the kettle on, have a lovely evening whatever your doing and see you soon,

Thinking of You!

Good Evening to Everyone, and I do hope all is well with you and that you've enjoyed your day.
Thank you to everyone who visited and left comments on my last post, you are very kind, and Welcome to my new Followers too, I hope you will visit often and leave a comment, to let me know that you have popped in. Just as soon as I have time I will be over to have a look at your blogs.

I had a lovely day yesterday as I had a visit from Hazel of A basket of Joy and her sister Patricia, Summerhouse Crafts.  It's been such a long time since we have managed to meet up so there was lots to talk about, it was also a lovely day, and it was nice to sit in one of our hotels by the River Ness to have a bit of lunch.  Tell you what it was good they came yesterday, cos the weather today has been downpours off and on.

I have another Inkylicious card for you today;
Sea view stamp from Inkylicious and background inked with a selection of Momento inks.
This was for our friend who began his cancer treatment on Monday.

I've been busy putting inserts in the cards I've made recently, when I first started making cards I didn't do this and then had to hurry and put one in when giving the card away. It's  a part of the process I just don't like doing, isn't that strange.

That is me for today, off now to make a cuppa, least I can do as Alistair made a lovely dinner with salmon.

Have a good evening and see you all soon,

Wintry Trees and Mitts!

Hello Everyone, and I hope where ever you are that you are well and having better weather than us up here in the north of Scotland. It's rained for almost three day, but it's also been dark which isn't nice.

I just want to remind you all of the Candy I have on offer, I've forgotten how to do a sticky post, so I will remind you whenever I put up a new post.  I will post overseas so if you are at the other side of the world don't be put off from entering. just leave me a comment on the candy post and put a photo of the candy on your side bar to be eligible.  I've had so many faithful Followers over the 5 years I've been blogging, that I wanted to mark the fact that I have now 100, will in fact it's 106, since I offered the Candy. So welcome to you all and I do hope you will return often if you like what I make.

Now did anyone have a wee message from Blogger about doing something else in late April, when my dashboard opened there it was. Can anyone throw any light on it??

Here is my card for today;
Inkylicious Winter Trees, and a selection of pink, grey and blue DIs for my background. The sentiment is from a set that came a long with Creative Stamping Mag. Matted on to pink and black card. Lots of Star Dust for the snowy look.

Another poor photo though, but I have to thank Pam for offering some help, and I think that I've got the right settings OK, I have come to the conclusion I'll never be a David Baily.

Here is some knitting I've finished, kinda goes along with the wintry trees;
I call them Gothic Mitts, and these will be a gift for someone.  Alistair was trying to take a photo of me wearing them and Teallach decided he wanted in the picture too. The Mitts are knitted in lovely Aran Yarn by Cascade, lovely yarn to knit with and there are little clear heart buttons on the side.

Enough from me today, but just wanted to thank you all for the lovely comments on my CCC post, always appreciated.
Take care All and see you soon'

Embossing or a Stencil for the Christmas Card Club!

Hello Everyone,  my goodness two weeks have passed already and it's time for the Christmas Card Club to show their cards once again.
This time it's our Carol who has chosen the theme and she would like to see us using embossing folders and/or stencils.  I've chosen to go with stencils and I've made two, I don't usually have two card, but I was on a roll and had bought these stencils when I was at the Glasgow SECC last month;
Stencil from Imagination Crafts, Christmas Baubles and coloured with Starlights paint, now unfortunately the colours don't show up well, but on the baubles I've used Antique Pink and Menthol, and Silver for all the stars and ribbon. The sentiment was one I had in my box.
Another Imagination Crafts stencil, Robins, and this time I've used Sparkle Medium in Ruby Gold and Gold Shine and Imagination Black Card.
I've kept the matting and layering to the minimum as  I felt the lovely stencils and colours just did the trick.

I hope you will manage to see what the other team members make, bound to be great creations from them.

Cheerio for now,

Fancy Wellies for Friday Oldie!

Hello Everyone, hoping you are well and looking forward to the weekend, my goodness they do come around so quickly, can hardly believe we are into April now.

Thank you all for the lovely comments left on my last post, and I'm pleased you liked my rather long story. I tend to write as I speak, a great problem when I was studying and had to write essays and had to keep within a word count.

Today it's a card from a couple of years ago for Erika of Snappy Crafts Friday Oldie.  Now I think this is an image from Little Claire, the sentiment certainly is and it would have been coloured with Promarkers. I think the bow has somewhat slipped, I hope I sorted that before I sent it off.

Why not join in with us and share something handmade from an earlier time in your crafting career. It doesn't have to be a card, it can be knitting, sewing,  just something hand made, It's just for fun and it's good to look back and see how your crafting has changed and or improved.  I know my style has changed over the years, whether it's improved, well I'm not sure about that one. One thing that's not improved is my photography, it's another poor photo.

Pretty cold here, still in the woolly socks, in fact just finished knitting a pair with yarn I bought in Iceland, I'll be having them on tomorrow.

That's all from me just now, take care of yourselves and see you soon.
