I thought it was time I updated this a bit as it was way back ing 2011 when I first started my blog and crafting.
Married to Alistair for now for almost 22 years, who puts up with my ever expanding craft area.
I have 1 lovely son and daughter in law, and various grandpets.
I am never seen without some kind of knitting going on and if not that, it's cardmaking. I have recently started trying my hand at mixed media and sewing.
I sing with the Inverness Choral Society, which I love.
I also love where I live, the Highlands of Scotland.
Oh, and I love Autumn, it's my favourite season with all the fantastic shades of brown and gold, the crispness of the air, and the cosy nights indoors.
And the best bit ever.. is that I'm now lucky enough to be RETIRED!!
Just a quick post this time around. It's once again Friday and that means that it's time to show your "Oldies", those handmade makes from an earlier time in your crafting career. This was all started as a bit of fun by Erika of Snappy Crafts. It doesn't have to be a card, just something hand made. Today I'm sharing a piece of knitting;
Yarn and pattern from a knitting magazine a while ago, and this scarf went to Dale.. Why not join our little band of "Friday Oldies", so to speak and share your earlier hand made projects. I hope you all have some super plans for the weekend, sadly I'm working , but somebody has to. Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my last card, you are all very kind and encouraging. Till next time,
I'm working tomorrow Kate, will be thinking of you too. What a beautiful scarf, love the detailing and the colour, very delicate. Thanks for sharing an oldie with me today. Have a good weekend, hugs Erika. x
A pretty scarf Kate, knitted using a delicate stitch. I wish I had listened more to my mum when she was trying to show me how to knit as a child, I can only manage to knit and purl and if I drop a stitch then I'm doomed. Lorraine
Since I don't knit, these pretty & soft scarves look most impressive to me. What a lovely pattern you've knitted, for something that is not only beautiful, but useful as well. Hope your wkend will be great and TFS. Hugs
Hi Kate Ooooh, looks like a nice cosy scarf. You are mistress of the needles. If it makes you feel any better my friend, I'm at work tomorrow too, with a dodgy wrist. Hope its peaceful shifts for you. . . . . It'll soon be June! Take care Ang x
