T'was the Night Before Christmas for The Christmas Club!

Hello Blogging Friends, are you having a good week so far? I certainly hope you are managing to keep warm, especially if your temperature is like ours, it's positively Baltic, I'm really glad I make woolie socks I can tell you.

Slowly but surely we are managing to get through the Christmas card writing, Alistair did the writing on the inside and I the envelopes. I had a couple of letters to write to go with two of the cards, so that takes a bit of time too, but they are all posted, so now it's just the special cards to do and they are all really hand delivered.

I've spent the better part of the day trying to get my photo editor working, kept telling me I needed Adobe Flash, well I have that, but still no go, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, still won't work. I've visited various support sites, cleaned up my PC and through a wobbly, still no go. so I'm stumped. However, in the great scheme of things that don't work, it hardly amounts to much, but still awfully frustrating.  I'll have to find some other way of editing my photos.

So to my card for the Friendly Christmas Card Club, which is the final one for this year and the theme has been chosen by GrandMargaret and it's to use Non Trad Colours;
Using another image from Magical Moments CD, I thought this was such a lovely image and the main colour being blue, isn't really festive colours. Matted on to black card and then on to paper from the same design set.  Sentiment a magazine freebie. Lots of Star Dust on the snow, but doesn't show up.

The photo would have been better if I could have got on to Picmonkey, but he ho.

As I'm writing up this post on Saturday night, I will schedule it for tomorrow when you can see what the other club members create.

I'm off now to make a cuppa and have a walnut whip, naughty old me I know, but it is the weekend, so a little treat is OK.

Just to finish- thank you everyone who left such lovely comments on my last card, I really do appreciate them, especially as everyone is so busy in the run up to Christmas.

Cheerio and see you soon,

Good Morning Kate. Very windy here in the west. Sorry to hear about your photo programme. I use Picassa 3 and have used a Good few years now and it is free, give it a try and see what you think. Love your card, it reminds of my early childhood on Islay. Have a Good Day. Hugs Rita xxx

A beautiful card Kate with a traditional feel to it. You can imagine the stillness and peace. I keep saying I'm not buying more craft stuff but the images you have used from this CD make it very tempting. Am going to try and make it to your Carolthon, it will make a great start to the festivities.

Now Kate, was that walnut whip??? Love your card, it looks like Jack and Moss at work looking at the sheep in next field to the horses. I know how your feeling ref. photos I had that problem with picass. Have you tried signing yourself out of your Google account then resigning in? That's how I solved mine. Take care when out. Kate, I think this Adobe flash is upsetting quite a few of us. Some of my videos at sites won't play. I've done the uninstall, reinstall, and it works some places, others - not. Your non-traditional colors card is lovely. What a sweet image of these animals waiting & watching for the special Event. It made a wonderful Christmas card. Stay warm. Merry Christmas & TFS. Hugs too
