A New King!

Good Afternoon to you all and I hope you are all well and having a lovely weekend.  The weather up here in Inverness is just glorious, I've just been sitting in the garden reading and it was too hot.  Just wouldn't believe the weather just now, Indian Summer or what!  I hope the weather is good where you are.
Alistair is away for a cycle around the Moray Firth, been a way since early morning, he'll be puggled when he gets back.

Thank you all for the lovely comments on my last card, and I'll be putting up the winner of the LOTV voucher when  Alistair gets back as he will pull the name out of the hat.
I'm so pleased so many of you took part, it's been a pleasure to follow your blogs over the last year too.  lots of fabulous inspiration from you.
I would like to welcome my latest follower, Gerrie, it's lovely to have you here and I hope you will continue to visit.  I have noticed that there are one or two folk who have joined to follow, but have never commented, or commented once, never to bee seen again, that's a pity, I do hope you will come again, but I do understand that you might not be keen on what I do all the time, and it is a big commitment to keep visiting the blogs.

On to my card now,
Sorry the close up is a bit blurred, but you get the idea.

Little Claire Nativity Set Stamp
Watercolour Pencils and DI
Kraft Card Core'dination Black Card
Papermania and LOTV Papers
Star from a CD (can't remember which one)
Glamour Dust for a bit of Sparkle.

I kept the embellishments low key as I wanted to focus on the scene, the sheep are part of the stamp set.

I won the stamp set the other year from LC and this is the first time I've used them, not too bad for a first attempt at creating a scene, but I can see how it could be bettered, anyway I hope you like it.

I will be back later to announce the candy winner, see you soon
I would like to enter my card into; http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/photo-inspiration.html

Lovely nativity scene Kate. I follow quite a few blogs but only comment on specific ones as otherwise I would spend all my time commenting and wouldn't get anything else done. I think its nice if you see someone's blog you like to follow it even if you don't have time to comment as we bloggers love to have followers! Some blogs have over 1000 followers but only a small fraction comment. So I am sure the people who have decided to follow you do so because they like your work and wanted to encourage you and follow you. Oh dear I have gone on haven't I??

This is wonderful Kate. I really love the scene you have created and the design with the opening doors is fabulous.
Our weather here is not so sunny today but hopefully it will stay dry as my son is playing one of his last cricket matches of the season.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the day and that Alistair enjoyed his cycle ride.
hugs Sue xx

Lovely wee nativity scene and love the opening doors adds a bit of a surprise to the card. Hope Alistair is not too tired when he gets back to pick a winner and that he enjoyed his bike ride, what a man up to all tricks.

We have has a glorious day here, walked the legs of Mei Li, she was not amused.

Lovely nativity scene Kate and love the idea of opening the stable doors. It sounds like we have very similar men - John is always walking or cycling or climbing too. Hope Alistair had a good day. Christine xx

Hi Kate
Boy, you have some patience cutting all those bits for your lovely scene.
It was glorious here yesterday but not as sunny this morning.
I have to say, I comment on most blogs on every post but if I followed many more than I do, I would find it difficult to keep up. I would hope that following someone would at least let them know I like their creations even if I didn't have time to comment.
Hope you have another warm and sunny day.
