Wishing You Well!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and having a good day...well evening now.
Aren't the nights drawing in now, we are having to put our lights on sometimes around  6pm.  It doesn't bother me but, I know it does some folks who don't like the darker nights. It all comes around so quickly though.

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate them.

My friend Mrs. Duck, some of you might know, gave me a couple of little colouring books as part of a birthday gift, so my card tonight is one of the colouring sheets made into a card;
The books are by Crafters Companion and I have to say that the pages are just lovely, they are sold to be used with that company's coloured pencils, but I'm not all that keen on them, so I've used Prismacolour pencils instead, and they have worked very well. I've added a few pearls to finish.
Just a card for my box.

I've spent the last couple of days trying to make a sort of spreadsheet for when the Choral Carolthon takes place in December. I stupidly volunteered to assists with it, little realising that I would have to do this, and worse the choral member who has been responsible for organising the Carolthon for the last 2 years will step down after this year and I'm expected to take over.Going by the fact that there are a few vacancies on the committee and no one seemed to want to take any of the roles I fear that I might not get anyone to assist when the time comes.  Anyway, I've had a headache for two days trying to make these documents. It's not something one knows unless you work with spreadsheets, and I never have. I need a crash course in them lol.

Anyway, hopefully I'll get there, so that's me for tonight, I'm away for a paracetamol or two , take care and see you soon,

  1. Hi Kate,
this is such a lovely pattern and you have coloured it perfectly too.
Love that you made it into a card it looks fantastic.
Oh my I would be out of my depth with that spread sheet too.
    Good luck with it.
I started singing again recently but they had to fold as not many people were interested so they now only have it at Folkestone or Dover and as I haven't any transport I can't get there.
Need to find somewhere else that runs singing groups.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  5. A beautiful card, Kate. Lovely colouring! At one point I did master spreadsheets using Excel for dummies (lol), but didn't use it enough and so lost the knowledge. Hope you managed to figure it out x

  11. Hi Kate

Lovely work .. .. your colouring looks amazing and makes for a beautiful finished card.

Hope you got on OK with the spreadsheet. Is there a youngster near by you could grab .. .. they seem to be able to whiz these things together in the blink of an eye!!

Fingers crossed that headache has gone too. I bet that was the spreadsheet's fault!!!

Take care and thank you for your lovely comments on my blog. You are very kind.

    Love Jules xx

  15. This is so pretty, such delicate colouring. I love spreadsheets, used them all the time at work but if you have never used them then it must be hard. If I was nearby I would come and help you. Good luck x

  18. You've done a lovely job of that Kate, I find it very relaxing and used to spend hours colouring in with my Mum when I was little.
I think when you offer to do these thigs there is often a lot more work involved than you anticipate. I love doing spreadsheets, I'm an organiser! I wish I was nearer to help but if I can give any tips just let me know. YouTube is my go to if I get stuck with anything like that, there's usually a video showing how to do it
    Enjoy your weekend

  23. The colouring page is beautifully done by you Kate and I love colours. I did just read the next blog post and saw that you have put something to use as a spreadsheet together which will work well enough. The only thing I would say is that if you have any more trouble with this run it by the person who is doing it at the moment, as they should help you to set it up if they need you to take over. I hope you are feeling less stressed about it now. x
