Pretty Poppies!

Hello Everyone, mid week already. Having an at home today, trying to get some housework done, it's been a bit neglected lately, neither of us with energy to spare. It's a pity the sun isn't shining today as that always spurs me on, never mind needs must.

I hope you are all well, but sending kind and healing thoughts to those who are not so well.

Thank you all for your continued visits and the lovely comments that you leave. Please, leave a comment if you just happen to pop in so that I can return the visit and see what you do.

I have another card today that I'm entering into https://caswatercolour.blogspot.com/2019/04/cas-watercolour-april-challenge.html
This lovely poppy image is from Chocolate Baroque , Pretty Poppies and I've coloured with Altenew Watercolour Paints. These paints are fairly new and they are fabulous to use. The Hello sentiment is on from a free set by Creative Magazine. I was aiming for the Icelandic poppy look, although I think it's the wrong poppy, never mind though, it works. I've layered on to dark blue card.

This is a challenge I've never entered before, but it really appealed to me.

That's me for now, have a good day whatever you're doing and see you soon,

  5. I love your blue poppy. Your water colouring looks fab. I must admit I have never entered this challenge either. Lovely and sunny here today so having a good clear out of the old shed. The new one is in the relocated place but I deliberately bought a smaller one in order to force me to declutter. if I'm successful then I can have a summer house in its place. Hugs Mrs A.

  27. These are gorgeous blue poppies Kate and love the blue background with the splatters and the darker blue sentiment, and a pretty butterfly too. To me with that blue these are definitely Meconopsis which I always remember my Dad who was a keen gardener used to grow when I was young, and I could never understand why they were blue and not red..lol. x
