Blue Moon!

Hello Everyone and Happy Sunday, at least I hope it is for you.  Theses weekends are coming and going so quickly aren't they.

We are good here. I thought that Teallach and I would have a quiet weekend as Alistair and the "Boys" were off on their adventures again. They were going into the Torridon  Mountains for the holiday weekend and left with all their toys on Friday afternoon. Both Teallach and yours truly crossed paws and  fingers that the weather wood be good. Received a phone call last night from beloved hubby to say they were coming home as there was a hurricane blowing and the the guy ropes on the tepee were ripped off and the game was a bogey, and if that wasn't bad enough, the rain stared to come down in chunks....apparently. So I do not believe in the power of crossed fingers any more.

Anyway, enough of that, here is my card share today,
Now, something I don't do nowadays is use a crafting CD, but as I wanted to enter a challenge, I found this in my cupboard. I also discovered why I don't do CD crafting as it took ages to find what I wanted to use, had to go through every file on the CD, then I had trouble getting from the  p to the printer, kept telling me it was offline, it wasn't, then the amount of ink it uses is amazing and I'll have to buy more coloured ink now. It's not for me really, but I'm quite pleased with how this has turned out.
The name of the CD is Kimono by Crafters Companion, there are some gorgeous images on it. I used a Chinese Lantern die from Die'sire and a few gems and sequins.

Thank you everyone who visited and left comments on my last card, it's really appreciated.
So that's me for now, I hope you are having a lovely Holiday weekend, mine is scuppered due to the weather, and now I've to listen to the fiddle playing and thumping as my Darling practices, poor Teallach is under the table.
I would like to enter my card into;

  9. Beautiful card Kate, what a shame your peaceful weekend was spoiled a little ! I know what you mean about printing from CDs, I only use my printer really for printing digi stamps not papers as it drinks the ink up and they are so expensive too.
Have a lovely bank holiday Monday,
    Hugs Kaz xx

  11. I echo your sentiments when it some to CD crafting Kate, takes me so long I've usually forgotten what I planned by the time I find it. But very much like your lady in the moon, a very serene image.

  12. A beautiful card Kate. I used to use CDs in my crafting, especially the Joanna Sheen ones but my printer broke about two years ago and I didn’t get another one. I do miss it though when it comes to personalising cards. Wishing you a happy and sunny day x

  19. Hi Kate
What a lovely image. I lasted about 2 cards into CD crafting and, as you say, I was not thrilled with the ink usage.
Sorry your weekend was disrupted. It's been a glorious few days here.
You'll have to buy you and T Boy some ear plugs or Alistair a soundproofed shed lol!

  24. Alistair certainly is the adventurer Kate, sorry to hear his trip didn't go to plan but better to be safe at home!
I have a few CDs and rarely use them, there are probably lots of images on them that I've forgotten about - this is a beautiful one, lovely card

  25. I do think it was well worth the time and the agro as this card is so pretty.
I have a confession...I own 5 CD's now and have never used one! I want to but am not quite sure how! Three were a gift from Sue Tossell and when I go to England this summer, she will show me how to use them! Yay!

  28. I haven't used any of my CD's for years, and not really much good if I wanted to as I now have a Mac and they don't work properly on that anyway. I love this pretty image and the background goes beautifully. The lantern die is a great embellishment too. Sorry Hubby had to come home early from his weekend due to bad conditions. I know what you mean, sometimes it's nice to have the place to oneself to do whatever you like without interruption..lol. x
