I'm here today with my DT card for the 4th challenge at Back to Basics and Beyond, BBB, "A Fold Back Card";
This is such a super card design to do, however, it's not one I do often or at all really, so this was fun to make.
I've taken a 7" card base and folded the front in half. Added beautiful paper from Crafty Individuals and the corner die is also CI.
The beautiful floral image is by Chocolate Baroque, Lords and Ladies stamp set coloured with Kuretake watercolours. I also stamped the image over the paper in the inside of the card. The background is also from CB, Square Bubbles. I've added Sparkle Pens and some Star Dust, a CB sentiment stamped and heat embossed on to vellum and a few black gems.
BBB is a new challenge blog and it's aim is to not only introduce techniques to folks starting out making cards and papercrafts, but also to refresh the more experienced crafter's skills.
We would love you to join us, and there will be plenty of inspiration from the other DT members to offer inspiration.

ReplyDeleteI love how you have stamped in plain ink on the inside and then coloured the same stamp for the front. Only just found out about this new challenge. But with The Docs Aunt still in Hospital and not getting any better time is of the essence right now with much to be done before we can even think of her being released. She will be unable to return home so care facilities will be needed to be set up. Hugs Mrs A.

This is a brilliant card Kate, and the fold back is so pretty especially with the CI paper and the Lords and Ladies CB image with the bubbles background looks so pretty over the top. It is absolutely ages since I made a fold back card and I have got very boring with my mostly square cards, so thank you for reminding us that there are other interesting shapes to use. x
