Fritillary!

Good Evening Folks, I hope you have had a good day, for some it's been a holiday, so I hope you enjoyed it and had good weather.
Do you remember me saying on my last post that the sun was out and it was really hot, well by lunch time it heavens opened, couldn't believe it. I watched a huge big black cloud making it's way over the roof tops and thought that I'd better get the washing in, just in time I might add.  Today, it's been much cooler and dull.  One would think that it isn't too much to ask to have at least a week of consistently good weather.

Anyway, thank you so much for your lovely comments on my CCC creations.

Here is my card for today;
Using the gorgeous Fritillary stamp from Chocolate Baroque, I coloured it with SN pens and cut it out with a SB die that I won on Sue Wilson's blog, can't remember the name of it, but I know all you lovely ladies who use these dies will know.  Inked the edges with DI. Background is a lovely Kanban card with rainbow shades that I've had for ages, then on to black card. Finishing off with Lilac Liquid Pearls.

As I don't really make cards for people since I stopped work, I need to look for reasons to make them now, but I was aware that I never have cards for myself when I need to say Thank You , Get Well and the like, so I've made a few of notelet  size cards for that sort of occasion, and this is one of them.

I also want to enter it into:http://chocolatebaroquechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2016/05/challenge-twenty-three.html

CB always put together wonderful colour swatches and this one I think is beautiful.

A wee update on our swan family, happy to say all eight cygnets are alive and well and we also have a new family of Eider Ducks with six ducklings, hope to get som photos soon.

That is me for tonight, a bit of knitting before bed I think, take care everyone and see you soon,

  10. A super card Kate, lovely colouring, and that beautiful die sets the image off perfectly. The rainbow paper makes a beautiful background. Notelet sized cards are so handy. I have been going down that route lately as well, and I am gaining a useful pile of them.
