Daisies in Pink and Grey!

Hello to You All, I hope you are keeping warm and cosy cos this weather ain't Spring like. We have had snow, sleet and hail today and it's been bitterly cold.

My intrepid adventurer left a cosy bed at 4:30 this morning to go and climb up Ben Wyvis, our nearest Munro, mental I know but what would I know, anyway he came back really early, quite spoiled my day, but he had to turn back a third of the way up because it was so cold, more so than in any Winter climb. So I guess it must have been cold as he has climbed in all sorts of mountains in cold conditions. He is however off to Kos on Saturday and the temperature is 28 degrees.

Thank you so very much for your kind comments on my last card, I do love to read them and appreciate each and every one of them.

Here is my card for today;
Another Sheena Douglass floral stamp, and I thought the pink and grey combination went really well with it. Just a touch of colour made with SN Aqua Pens. LC sentiment and a few Liquid Pearls.

Spend a lovely afternoon with the puppy as Damian could get home for lunch and emergency audit or something. I was hard pressed to pop in, lol.  He is such a wee darling, and doing so well. After a wee play he snuggled up beside me on the sofa whilst I read and we both fell asleep. He would have plenty of energy when Damian and Moreen got home.

That's me for tonight, I hope you like my creation, and I'll see you all soon,

  2. YOu were right to go with the color combo on this soft floral. So pretty, and I like the tiny pearls you've tucked around that bottom flower. Liking that wonderful background dp too with the scallop circles in the mats. Glad that the Mr. got back home safely, sounds very icy over your way. We've had lovely sunshine, and it's quite warm. Wish I could send you some heat! TFS & Hugs

  6. Beautiful card, such lovely delicate colouring and the other half of my favourite stamp set lol! Enjoy your puppy time Kate as they grow up so quick, a bit like kids I suppose. There's something wonderfully comforting about falling asleep with a puppy, they trust us so completely and so much too Karen x

  9. Spring weather it certainly is not, so cold for days again and overnight we had 5/8" of rain then a -4 frost on top of it. Lovely colours and stamping on today's card Kate.

  10. Sorry I missed this yesterday KAte, I was so busy and didn't et onto the computer. The colour combo on your card is great and the image super. I climbed Ben Wyvis two years ago when we were stying in a cottage not too far from there. The wind was so bad it was almost blowing me off my feet so it was a bit unnerving. But I did it! This happened once in Wales and we hd to give up because it was just too dangerous - although I know John would have carried on if I wasn't there but I'm not the the best climber ... lol! Hugs Christine xx

  12. Gorgeous image and colours. Rather your hubby than me, climbing in the cold and then 28 degrees wouldn't suit me, too cold and too hot.

  16. Beautiful card, like always.

Hi, I am really pleased, that you have been in Slovenija. Most people, even don't know, where Slovenia is or that Slovenia even exeist.
Did your hubby climbed on Triglav? Triglav is our highest mount.
Unfortunately also with us yesterday it is snowing. Frost us destroy all the fruit trees and vines. My daughters are very sad, because we do not have anything cherries, strawberries and other fruits.

    Have a lovely day!
    Hugs from Slovenia
    Sorry on my bad English.

  23. Good morning Kate, how I missed this wonderful card till today I will never know. Did think you might be busy getting Alistair packed to go on his climbing holiday! Well not so much the packing as the washing side of things when men think we women should know a certain item of clothing needs washing even if it is in the cupboard. Oh I think you and puppy are going to be best of friends, not so sure if Damian and Maureen Will be so pleased when they have an active puppy to see to! Puppys are cute and adorable.

I can see you are going to enjoy every minute of seeing Sheena demoing at the end of May.

  24. Kate, your hubby is mad, there's no way I'd be getting up at that hour to bag a munro. It is freezing outside, I had a lovely snow storm whilst travelling yesterday too. Brrr.

I love your daisies and you are quite correct the pink and grey combo works so well.

It sounds as if you are having lots of fun with the wee pup, they are good company and very snuggly.

    How did your concert go?

Hugs and happy crafting, Erika. x

  25. I love that color combo too, with the lovely flower. Lovely card.

So lucky, a puppy in the family without the hassle!! Nothing like a puppy, I love that you cuddled with him and then both fell asleep, how cute! Enjoy, like kids they grow up too fast.

    Hugs
