Baby Sea Creatures!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well today, and keeping safe.
We continue to be well, thankfully, and keeping busy with one thing and another. I've now got Alistair set up with Zoom for a meeting in a couple of days. and I made two face masks, I am not a natural sewer, but they'll do. I found a You Tube video to help. Isn't You Tube marvellous, you'd never be stuck for making, mending learning etc.
I've lifted up my knitting again, that's been ages and I should finish my socks tonight. I found a pattern for the little trainer sock and I'm eager to get started them.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, much appreciated.
Something a wee bit different for me today;
These cuties are from Whimsy Stamps, and the minute I saw them I wanted them, don't know why, I'm not really a cute person.....well I am but.....you know what I mean, I can't think who I would send it too. Anyhoo, I've coloured these babies up with Copic Markers and a wee bit of shimmer pen, and the fishes are from a couple of Pink Ink Design stamps. The little bit of plant a stencil from Clearly Besotted.  Background paper is from a fabulous 12x12 pad from The Works. Sentiment is also from the Whimsy set. A few wee clear gems to finish.

Here are my mask efforts, they're not too bad, Alistair said he'll stick to his Buff.

So, that's me for now, nearly time to go and forage for dinner. Keep safe everyone, and I'll see you soon,

  2. Your card is cute and fun! Some cards I make for myself but usually figure out who to send it to in the long run.

I think you did well with your masks. I purchased ours, but it was hard to find one that would be okay for men. Most were florals and that wouldn’t work!

  3. To who you send this lovely card? To me! To me! Ha ha! It is a beautiful card, Kate, and I love anything cute!
As for your masks, I am sure they are great. But men, oh, they are all the same I think. When I make my paintings my husband says they are not good. Recently I gave some of them to my friends because they wanted them to display on their home. And then my husband said: I love your paintings. They are great. Do not give them. Let's place them in our house! Unbelievable!

  5. I love, love, love the ribbon you used on your masks. You are going to have the best tied masks ever!

I also like the card. 'I am not a huge fan of cute either, but it has its place and this is a really cute card.
In these troubled times, I think uplifting cards of any sort are very welcome,
so you will find a person to give it to quicker than you think!

  8. Fabulous make with the cute sea creatures Kate, love this colour. Great job with the masks, we don't have to wear them here and in fact the pubs, clubs and restaurants are opening, with social distancing in our state...I am staying home.. Enjoy your weekend.x

  9. What a fun and happy creation Kate and lovely bright colours it can't help but make you smile. Well done on making your masks, I will confess to buying a pack rom Amazon in case I don't get round to it.

One of our DIL's made some really pretty ones from Liberty fabric, they were for her sister and BIL who live in London with a second baby due any time. Pleased to say baby arrived OK and Mum and Iris Florence were home next morning.

  13. Cute as cute can be Kate. You just can’t beat a whimsy stamp for cuteness. Credit card saga is still on going. I have been looking at face mask patterns . Seen loads on YouTube and finally found one that
I am happy with making. I will certainly not be venturing out and about for quite a while yet but when I do it will be with a face mask on. Hugs Mrs A.
