Thalia!

Hello from a dreich and dark Inverness, it's turned colder too, I've had to put a bit of heating on and going around with a cardie.  Anyway, weather as forecast thankfully without the thunder and lightening.  How is it down your way?

I hope everyone had a good weekend and got done what you wanted to do, I've mostly spent time in my craftroom playing with some new stamps from Pink Ink Designs and I've got a card to show today which I would like to enter into; http://sirstampalotchallenge.blogspot.com/2019/06/june-show-your-true-colours.html

I've coloured this fabulous face with Copic Markers, and DIs and Silver ink and matted it on to some glitter card. All the stamps are from the same set and I've used the smaller ones to make a background on my base card which is 7x7. embellished with a butterfly and flowers from the set, I've added gems, pearls and Stardust.  I've never had a stamp like this before and felt a bit daunted by it as it's quite large, but good old Pinterest came to the rescue.  I'm really quite pleased with how it's turned out and can see a few possibilities for it's use...I hope you like it.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my Christmas card on my last post.

Well, Alistair has just phoned to say he's on the bus coming home....a day early, so I guess he's found things difficult. Both Jim and Alistair are such stubborn men that they fall out, so that could be the reason he's coming home early.....I've not broken the new to Teallach yet lol.

Rightio a coffee and a fruit scone is called for, then into the kitchen to plan an unplanned dinner.

Take care everyone and see you soon,

  2. Stunning card Kate, I can see why it would be daunting, but you have made a beautiful card with it.
Heating on with you? Well it's very very low cloud and no rain - strange? temperature seems to be reasonable no heating as yet! An awful summer so far isn't it?

  10. This is beautiful Kate and those eyes are really alluring and the way you have used colour on them really brings them to life.

I keep seeing Pink Ink stamps about but confess I've not been tempted yet, mainly because most seem to require colouring which is not something I am very good at or enjoy. But I do love to see what others more able have achieved as with this one.

As always it's lovely to see you at Stamping Sensations, thank you so much for joining us.

  14. I love Pink Ink stamps but I don't have any of them yet. This set is one of my favourites and will probably be the one that I buy first. I really like your colour palette Kate and the subtle stencilling in the background. The butterfly and flower embellishments in the corners just finish your card off perfectly, it's gorgeous. Thank you for joining us in our 'Show Your True Colours' challenge at Stamping Sensations and good luck. Sandra x.

  16. Steady downpour all night long here. This morning just drizzle. Hope it clears up by lunch time as the fence people are coming to put a new section of panelling up now that the old shed is downand they can get to the section that needs replacing. Next job the new base can go down and then I get to have my long awaited "Summer house" !!! As I pointed out to The Doc even if it's not sunny we can still go and sit in it instead of being shut up indoors looking out!!
Your card is lovely Kate. Gorgeous colours and perfect colouring. Hugs Mrs A.

I know exactly how you feel. I get so tired of thinking of things for dinner every night and when I don't have to it is so nice. But, I'm sure your and your hubs will find a lot to talk about after he's been away for a bit.
