Socks and More Socks!

Hello Everyone, hoping all is well with you today.  Lots of sunshine and it was much warmer today, I even managed a wee sit down with my book outside this morning....mind you I had just cleaned the ovens and I wasn't just glowing, I was dripping and needed to cool down. What an achievement though to get it done, it had been left far too long and as I felt as if I had a bit of energy I went for it. Mind you that's all I've done today.

Anyway, I managed to get the socks completed that had been started way last year, so really pleased by that, though because they had been left so long, I discovered that one is an about an inch shorter that the other, but they are just for me and will not be noticed. Just as well I'm not a perfectionist lol.

Here they are along with some others knitted last year, a couple were gifts for friends;

For the two pairs that were for gifts I made bands with stamped images, just to make them a wee bit more special, Peter and Jean loved them.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my previous card, once again I really appreciate them.
That's me for now, take care and see you soon,

  1. Yes sometimes it takes ages to actually do a job but once you've done it, you feel better for it...I always think x Yes the weather is warmer today. I had a little chuckle about your socks being different sizes x Such a skill to knit these striking and warm socks and no wonder Peter and Jean loved them. Love the thoughtful and creative bands for them too x.

  7. Such cute socks! I like how you packaged the ones that were for gifts.

    Today, I got a few short errands out of the way. It does feel good to be done with them. They were just to small to go out for just one errand, but to combine them made it more reasonable. Glad you got the oven cleaned. That is not my favorite job!

  16. Great minds and all that Kate as I've done the very same job today, I've been putting it off for days and knew I had to do it before I had a good bake up. Very satisfying when it's done though isn't it.

    Great sucks anyhows, I'm ashamed to admit I can't knit, my Mum and Gran both despaired of me.
