Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and having a good day. Have you all been enjoying the run of lovely sunny warmth that we have been having? It's a bit dull now although it was really lovely early this morning and I had a sit out in the garden with my book and breakfast.
Anyway, it's almost the weekend, they come around far too quickly don't they, I hope you have something good planned. I have the Choral concert on Sunday, and I am so looking forward to the performance, as it's a fabulous piece by Handel... Alexander's Feast and just a little bit different from the usual Handel. it will be interesting to see how it's received by the audience.
Thank you all for the lovely comments on my last card, always appreciated and eagerly read.
My card today is made for the Flower Challenge;
The challenged asked for shaped cards so I've used this lovely SB die to make a circular card. The lovely floral image is Star of Bethlehem from Hobby Art and coloured with Zig watercolour pens, sparkle and white pens. I splashed some gold watercolours from Gansi Tambi watercolours over the finished piece.
Well my goodness, the heavens have opened,it's chucking it down outside, so pleased I brought the washing in.
Here's a photo of our concert flyer;
That's all from me just now, have a super weekend,
I would like to enter my card into;

Kate, you always have such fascinating things going on in your life! The concert sounds so lovely! And your beautiful card is just breath-taking. I didn't know there was a flower by this name (my favorite quilt pattern is the Star of Bethlehem though!) Your water coloring is wonderful and I'm admiring your gold spatters (I get blobs most time). The circle shape is perfect to show off this floral arrangement

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely, professional flyer for your choir. Wish I had been there to hear you! I am coming to Britain this summer and will get a cruise around England, Scotland and Ireland with a quick stop in Paris. We have a land day in Glasgow and Edinburgh but that is all. Next trip over, I want to get a hire car and see more of Scotland. Have only been once before and that was 50 years ago!
ReplyDeleteYour card is really pretty. Loving the beautiful flowers and delicate colouring. The circular card design looks great!
Having a wee catch up on your blog as my hands are finally starting to improve!
Hi Kate
