I hope everyone is well and enjoying your weekend. I'm on my own with Teallach as hubby has gone down to Glasgow for a few days to visit his brother. The Puss and I do love a wee break on our own, and because of the weather I've been pretty much indoors with him.
My laptop is in the hospital so doing this post on my tablet, so fingers crossed it's going to be okay, so I'm keeping this short.
Now I make no apologies for a Christmas card as they are my favourite type of card.
This was a new die I bought before Christmas but didn't get around to using it, it's by Sweet Dixie. Although the bird is sitting on holly, I guess you could cut around it and the bird could be used at any time of the year. Anyhow I've made him robin and coloured him with the wonderful Starlight paints from Imagination Crafts.
I had the embossing folder in my stash for ages but don't know where from. Sentiment die from First Editions and a bit of Creative Expression red gilding Polish.
Imagination Crafts Just Pearl's, and some red pearls for holly berries.
Thank you all for visiting me and leaving those lovely comments on my last card and about Rowan too, she is doing really well and getting along fine with Milo.
Take care everyone and see you soon,
Hugs Kate x 😉
Hi Kate, lovely card - that's a very nice die and I do like your embossing folder too. Not that you can tell from my output last year but Christmas cards are my favourites to make too. Enjoy your weekend alone with Teallach. Stay warm and safe. Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeleteLike you Kate Christmas cards are my favourite makes so I'm very happy to see your offerings, and this one is lovely. We have a pair of robins who built their nest in our wood stack right outside the back door! They didn't seem to mind our comings and goings so I'm hopeful they will do the same this year. Enjoy your "me time"!! Hugs Christine xx

Christmas cards are probably my fav to make too, Kate. Of course I LOVE this darling bird, and how beautifully you've colored him, the detailed brush stroke feathers created such dimension. Also like the great touch with the berries too! The background embossing is lovely, and perfect for this sweet birdie. Enjoy your "me" time, and stay cozy & warm. Hugs & TFS

What a lovely winter card! I adore all things birdie, especially for a winter themed card, and your birdie is so amazing! I love that pattern in the background and all of the shimmer is just stunning! Have a wonderful day Kate!
ReplyDeleteKate back again to thank you for your lovely comment. No, I was not the first one to enter, second. Our weather was a tad pleasant today so it was a nice crafting day instead of the intense heat wave, other wise the copic markers dry out while colouring, thanks again.xx{aNNie}
