McIntosh Beauty! Colour Challenge 23!

Good Morning to Everyone,
I hope it's bright and sunny where you are. We have a beautiful morning and hubby is off for a night out on the Cairngorms. He discovered two mountains that he can't remember climbing so he is off to do that. A few years ago he had his celebration party for completing all the Munro so, so he's vexed that he might have had the party fraudulently, lol.

I've got another card made with CB stamps and the colours for the Challenge:
I've used stamps from the  McIntosh Beauty set and coloured with Pirsmacolour pencils, first embossing with black Wow EP.
Background is made with DIs and splashes of water and second generation stamping with the single McIntosh rose, ribbon and gems.

We had a day out yesterday to Portmahomack which is a bit more North of Inverness to the East.  It's a lovely little village which at one  time would have had a fishing industry. There is a beautiful beach where we sat and read for a wee while after having a lovely lunch.
It's on the Pictish Trail and has loads of archaeology sites, well worth a visit if you are ever in the area. Took a couple of photos;

We have some outstanding beaches up in the highlands and Islands and if only the weather could be guaranteed it would make for  wonderful holidays.
This one shot on a rare moment Alistair wasn't snoozing.
Just before I go, I'd like to thank everyone for their lovely comments on my last post, I do appreciate the time you take to visit.
Until next time,

  13. Good evening Kate, Loving the colour combination on this card. The McIntosh Rose image is fabulous, love it. My goodness Kate, you do have a very active Hubby lol!! I don't think there is anything in the rule books that says Alistair cannot have another celebration !! Gracious me, he has certainly earned it lol! Portmahomack looks like a really beautiful place, right up our street Kate. We usually visit the west coast, Plockton, Applecross, Torridon Lochinver, etc., We just love the peace and tranquility of the mountains and Lochs, just nothing to beat it !

  14. Some wonderful pencil coloring on this pretty rose. Like the colors you've selected....and your 2nd generation stamping on the background was an inspired design idea to compliment your pretty CB rose. Liked the design layout and the other goodies you've added to make it your own special design. Enjoyed the sunshine pictures..so glad you had nice weather to enjoy this lovely outing and relaxation on a gorgeous beach. Nice picture of Action Man too. Good to see him In-active(and not in danger)!!! TFS &HUgs

On our week off, hubby and I went to the falls which was a 3.5km walk up the side of the 'mountain' and I will never do it again!! By the time we got there, all I wanted to do was go home and have a nap! I'll take flat trails any day of the week thank you!! lol. Hope he has fun, Your photos are beautiful. hugs :)
