More Daisies and Beautiful Swans!

Good Evening to You, I hope you are all well and have had a lovely Sunday.

 Our weather wasn't all that nice so decided not to go for a run in the car, we are certainly having April showers, and today I felt was a tad cold.  However, we had to go for a bit of food shopping so decided to have a walk at the same time thus killing two birds with one stone, and here are a couple of photos of the lovely birds we spotted on our walk;

Alistair had discovered these beauties the other week whilst he was having a walk around our University Campus, where there is a bit of a lake.  I'm not sure which swan is doing the sitting as I believe both take it in turns to sit on the eggs, but the partner was really keeping it's eye open for trouble.  It was just lovely to see them nesting with the hope of a new family.  I am rather fond of these graceful birds.

 Anyway on to my card;
I have used John Lockwood's main Daisy stamp from the Dasiy set, they are so lovely to ink up, and I've just put little bits of colour with Sakura Gel pens and tipped the ends of the petals with a pink Promarker Pen.
The background is make with Creative Expressions Colour Cloud inks and the an Immagination Crafts floral stencil with Silver Starlights Paint.  Liquid Pearls and all matted on to black card.

    Oh you are making some lovely cards with this set. Love the background too.
    Our blackbirds are "with egg" and Mr B has been coming into the kitchen again to speed up the feeding process lol!

    Beautiful photos and a very elegant card! I love the colours of your background and a lovely use of that stencil (It is in my collection but I have only used it for Christmas cards so far)
    It was sunny here, probably because we had planned to go and train at Karate grading, which was inside ;)

    I lOVE swans too. I would not want to mess with them while they are nesting, they can be very protective. Gorgeous birds, and your picture is awesome, thanks for sharing.

    Kate I love your daisy card, the colour combo is beautiful. A perfect birthday card.
    The swans photos are lovely too, they're fine till the signets arrive then they can get quite aggressive.

    It's cold here too just now but got the washing dry. How does that work?

    Always enjoy seeing the wonderful pictures you share, and what a treat to see the swan sitting on the nest (not likely to ever see that IRL, & the photographer captured the scene so well). Pretty card and I liked the way you've put the focal image in the corner, so that the background stands out equally well. Pretty card, great design. TFS & Hugs.

    Your card is as graceful and pretty as those birds, Kate! I haven't seen that flower before and really like it! Thank you so much for posting the nesting birds! How blessed you are to get to see them on your walk! I'm currently watching a You Tube video every day of a bald eagle's nest in southern California.     The colours are so soft and subtle Kate, the background is so beautiful. It works so well with the sentiment.

    Quack, Quack - now what kind of noise do swans made. I know the males can be quite aggressive when threatened or their spouse is threatened. I would love to see a baby swan!
