Santa Claus is Coming to Town for CCC!

Hello Everyone and time again for another card from the Christmas Card Club
and this time around the theme has been chosen by our Carol and it's Santa Claus is Coming to Town, here is my card;
I treated myself to these new dies from Die'Sire and I think they are fab, a whole village scene and of course Santa and his sleigh complete with reindeers.
I cut the village out of white card and Santa from black mat card. Painting the trees and snow and smoke with the new Creative Expressions Iridescent Shimmering Watercolour Paints, beautiful to use, but the one I used on the snow doesn't show up on the white card though, Cut a second scene in Royal Blue Centura Pearl card to give the impression of a drop shadow and then found some paper for yester year that had a night sky with a lovely star on it.  Star Dust for sparkle. I thought that was all that was needed so didn't add any embellishments.

    Hey Kate! Do you know the song Santa Claus Is Coming To Town? Well now you have me singing it and as I only know a couple of lines from the song, I sing them over and over! Your Christmas card is not only beautiful gobs of fun too!

    Good for you at giving yourself this gorgeous treat of the wonderful die! It's just beautiful, and if the photo is enlarged, your white snow DOES show up very sparkling. Brilliant idea to add just a touch of shimmer paint to the white scene, as it does work very well to highlight the details of this die. Loving that tiny Santa sleigh too, and this is just a beautiful and well designed card! Enjoy your day. TFS & Hugs

    I love this die too Kate, it just cuts the most beautiful Christmas scene and perfect for this challenge. By adding the shimmer paints you have brought the scene to life beautifully and the drop-shadow layer adds a lovely dimension. Hope you are both keeping well.
