happy Birthday!

Hello to You All, and welcome again to my blog, it's lovely that you want to visit and comment on my creations, it takes time so I really do appreciate it.
I hope everyone is well, that includes spouses, family and pets. My own DH is still not all that well, spending most time in bed and getting up for a wee while in the evening. It's be years and years since he has had something like this. He isn't really any bother as long as I keep him fed, but he's like that when he is well, so no change there then I guess.

When I went to the shops earlier I met I met Alistair's friend Bill's partner, who said it's been her first day out for a week as she had been laid up in bed with what seems pretty much like what Alistair has, and that also Bill who is on a skiing holiday, in Switzerland is down with it too, but is struggling on with his holiday, shame, anyway as he is not here to defend himself, he is getting the blame for passing on his cold/flu.  I'm back to work tomorrow, so he will have to fend for himself.

So here is my offering for today:
I was asked for a birthday card for an elderly lady and this is what I came up with, all Hunkydory, now I'm not sure which range this is, I think it might be Elegance.  I like the the soft pastel shades of this kit and I've just added some ribbon and gems to it from my stash.

Today had been a nice day, but has turned cold again, I thought it would rain at some point, but put my washing out anyway, the rain thankfully has held off.  I just love getting the washing out for a blow, I'm turning in to my mother!

That's me for today Friends, I will get around to your blogs soon, take care and see you again soon

  6. Kate, not good that Alistair is getting much better, has he had the flu jag? As it seems that folk that have had it aren't getting rid of this cold bug that easy. I know Charlie took longer getting over his chest infection, he hadn't had the flu jag. When in the forces they had to have it and he was always ill after it. Beautiful card, love your colours and design. Hazel x

A beautiful pastel card. Very pretty.
Poor Alastair. I dare say he won't like being cooped up indoors when there's mountains to climb and rivers to canoe!
Hope you don't catch it chuck.

  25. Sounds as though your DH & friend both have a real bad case of that awful flu. I hear it really lays one out for a while. Our state in the USA is supposedly having an epidemic - particularly tough on the seniors. Your card is so delicate in the soft pink and that is the cutest bird cage. Liked all the bling that just added more glam. Hope you don't catch this stuff, and that Alistair gets plenty of rest so he can get his energy level back. Stay warm. TFS & Hugs
