Angel or Fairies for the CCC

Hello from a very dull and wet Inverness. I hope wherever you are your weather is better.

It's time once again for our little Christmas Card Club to show our creations. It's a fortnightly challenge just to get ahead with the making of the Christmas Cards and therefore avoid panic in December.  We each choose a couple of themes and if you can't meet that then it's anything goes.
We would love you to join us, and if you feel you would like to, just get in touch with any of the team, names on my side bar and we will tell you how.

So, this challenge seems to have come around very quickly, and it's been GranMargaret who chas chosen Angel or Fairies, here's what I've come up with;
Forgive the photography, it's so dull outside the light is hopeless. This is a Sue Wilson Angel die, a real b---er to cut out so it doesn't really see the light of day all that often. I cut two  of the images out in glitter paper to form a shadow. the dove, star and hear are all part of the same set.
The sentiment die is one from First Edition and cuts beautifully. Background is made with DI and then splattered with Silver Starlight paint to look like stars. I'm pleased with the overall card, just not the photo, so I hope it does Margaret.

Thank you all for the comments on my past post, especially about John's death, a sad time.
Scheduling this for tomorrow when the challenge goes live.
Have a good weekend and take care,

This is a pretty angel Christmas card, KAte. I love that die. It is spectacular. I feel that way about most Sue Wilson dies...they all call out to me.

Your night sky scene looks wonderful and I like the idea to shadow the die with the second vut.

Beautiful card Kate. Believe it or not I was aiming to do two cards for this challenge and die cut the SW die and the Sara Davies one. She is so beautiful and the way you have used her has made your card look so special. Amazing creation. Sun is shining here today, but still rather cold. Hugs Rita xxx

What a beautiful card Kate. Such a shame the die doesn't cut well, Sue Wilson's are generally very good. Keep using it, they usually get better :)

It is a gorgeous die but I hate dies that are hard to cut. I use a metal shim with my Bigshot for those and just bought a Sizzix brush tool to take all the bits out which works well. Lovely card x

Some dies are dreadful aren't they? I have a beautiful Tonic die but like this one it rarely gets an outing because it is so difficult to cut out. Having said that I have just got the Gemini so I might try with that. The angel makes a really lovely card Kate with so much impact. Worth the effort. Hugs Christine xx

This is simply one of SW's most beautiful designs, and I can believe it was difficult to die cut. Love the night sky background behind all the shimmer white, and what an elegant card resulted. Well done on your use of this die (I'm trying to remember if I have this one. I love the SW, but don't use them as often as I should. A lot of the SW dies are just too large for the size of card I usually make). You did a fab job on creating the background with the DI and creating the stars. TFS & Hugs.

Hi Kate,
what a very stunning card and your background inking is excellently created.
Love how that paint has made it look like the stars.
That Angel is gorgeous too.
Yes very wet and cold down here in the South of the country too.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Your Angel is gorgeous Kate - love your card. Why is it that so many dies are all but impossible to use. I have gotten rid of several just because they were so frustrating.

Oh I love this1 That die is so gorgeous. It always seems to be the ones we love that die cut so poorly, doesn't it? I have a SB Aster die that does exactly the same. It makes a gorgeous flower, but is an absolute nightmare to cut, so usually gets passed over. Hugs, Shaz Xx

Beautiful card Kate, hate having issues with cutting dies, I started using a laminate sheet for mine, just sandwich the die and card in the pocket..worked for me..But since I bought a Gemini machine..boy glad I did!! no more trouble with any dies.
