A Little Bit of Summer!

Hello there Everyone, how are you All?  Sounds as if many of you have had colds/flu viruses, they are certainly doing the rounds, and it's taking until now really for me to feel well again from well before Christmas. Some of the viruses knock the stuffing from you, so if you are struggling to get better, kind thoughts going out indeed for anyone who is struggling for any type of reason, I hope you will feel better soon.

Well it's been a while since I posted, I've not been idle though, I have been busy in my craft room, just not ready to post my projects yet, I've been trying a few different bits and pieces, but I've got a card today that was a simple design;
I found this LOTV in my stash whilst looking for something else and I thought it lovely and just right for something away from Christmas cards, so I've matted it with purple card and used papers from the Promises paper pad that I've had since Moses was a boy. I don't think LOTV have it anymore, and it's so pretty. XCut Hello die and a few sequins and a gem dragonfly , a little bit of ribbon and job done.
Hope you like it.

Thank you all for the lovely comments that you left on my CCC post, you are all so kind.

Disaster struck the other evening,.... whilst trying to have a healthy snack, instead of crisps, I took a filling out of a very precarious tooth. This is one the dentist has been trying to save for a while, but when I had a look at it I thought that this time it looked as if it was done for. Anyway, I managed to get an emergency appointment yesterday and have had an temporary filling put in, but was told it will more than likely have to come out, but my own dentist will look at it next week. Now disaster because, it will leave a great gap that will be noticed, so no more smiling for me. I'm hoping the dentist will be able to suggest something to do, but will wait and see. I have a great fear of dentists and what they do, many bad experiences in earlier times, and even although this lady is very good I stll feel anxious, but it's got to be done.  It was a hazelnut that done it...hate the damn things now, should have had the wine gum instead Lol.

What a beautiful morning it is here, sun shining and dazzling on the snow, yes we have had quite a fall of the white stuff, it's kept us indoors quite a bit, so much so that Alistair has cabin fever, and Teallach is refusing to go out, it is lovely though as long as you don't need to go out. I hope you are all being careful and keeping cosy.

That's me for now, have a good day whatever your'e doing,

Poor you Kate, hope you manage to get the tooth filled, no snow here thank goodness, our small corner seems to be missing it. Love the card, beautiful colours that remind me of Spring and that the crocus will be peeping through soon.

How lovely to see you, I love your chatty posts. I haven’t heard that expression about Moses for a long time, made me smile. Gorgeous card, love that topper. Shame about your tooth, hubby has one like that but luckily at the back, he takes care what he eats on it. Hope they can save it or sort out something for you, take care x

It must be the week for it Kate as my Hubby list a filling this week and has to see his dentist next Tuesday. It’s not a nice this is it but I’m sure that your dentist won’t leave you without a smile. Your card is lovely and I think we could all do with a touch of sunshine, so thank you for sharing it. Love the topper you've used and the papers too. I think our generation all have a fear of the dentist because dentistry was just so bad then. Poor dentists must have a real phobia because we all say we hate dentist - when what we actually mean is we hate what they do to us! Things rally have come on in leaps and bounds. I had a root canal feeling about 18 months ago and I had heard such horror stories that I was petrified. In actual fact it wasn't such an awful experience after all. here's hoping you have a similar experience Kate. Hugs Christine xx

I really must be more careful when I type! it was supposed to say "root canal filling"!! And really not rally ... lol! xx

Hi Kate,
what a very gorgeous card and that image is so pretty.
Beautiful design also.
So sorry to hear about your tooth.
I had a filling 2 years ago now it was a white filling and I don't know what they use now but every now and then it aches so for about 3 days and then it goes again.
It just so happened that all my coughing brought it on again.
Keep warm in your snowy weather.
I too have had cabin fever as I am into my 3rd week of not being able to go anywhere beacsue of being scared of coughing as I don't know when I am going to get it.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Sorry to hear you have been suffering my friend. Hope you can have the work done soon. Love your card, it reminds of spring and summer that we have to look forward to hopefully anyway. Not been out much either in the last week, but decided to move my craft room around, so nearly there now and have cleared out loads. See you on Sunday for our next challenge on CCC. Keep cosy and warm. Hugs Rita xxx

Pretty purple, pretty background papers, and I like the way you've done the design layout with this lovely spring cart of flowers. The gauzy ribbon bows look so fresh & airy. Bummer on the tooth problem. I hope they can get your tooth fixed smoothly & properly, without a lot of fear & angst on your part. Big hugs and TFS

Your card is gorgeous and definitely brings thoughts of summer to warm us. Sorry to hear about your tooth - i managed to split a tooth in half eating an apple so I agree that healthy eating is bad for you! Mum has just had a tooth implant at a cost of just under £2000. Dad thinks she's mad as she's 80 this year, but she feels it's worth it x

Hi Kate, this is such a pretty card. Love the colours, my favourite combination. Hope the snow goes soon and the dentist can save your tooth. I broke one of my teeth some time ago and thought it might have to come out but, the dentist managed to save it and it is still fine. Take care lovely lady and stay snug and warm.
Hugs Jennifer xx.

Hi kate. Your card is just beautiful and love the country feel to it. Hope you are doing well? Xx

Now that will teach you eating healthily. Sorry to hear about the tooth Kate and sincerely hope they can 'save' it. Thank you so much for your kind comments on my blog. Yes the flu has taken it's toll and 3 1/2 weeks later I am on the mend but still not there. Sounds like yours has persisted too. It's been a rotten year for flu and virus's and they seem to last ages! Thanks again x

Kate, a gorgeous image and card. Love the colors you chose, so very pretty with the potted plants. OH NO, nothing worse than a broken tooth. Hope your regular dentist can suggest something to save it. I have had three or four root canals and also get stressed when I go to the dentist. Good luck.

Hugs
Sue
