Butterfly Frame!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well, but sending out kind thoughts to those who are struggling a bit just now, hopefully things will get better for you soon.
Especially thinking about the folks hit by these awful  storms , it must be so devastating, can't even begin to imagine what they are going through, I count my blessings each day that I live in a country that doesn't have these extreme weather systems, nature at it's worst.

Anyway, we are back from our little trip away to Coventry to visit Mr. and Mrs. Duck, and we had a real good time, we were treated like royalty, they couldn't do enough for us, what a lovely couple they are. Alistair felt quite at home with them and found plenty to chat to Mr. D about. I've a few photos which I will show later in the post, for now though here is a little something to view,
Another of my frames, this time stamped with a Crafty Individuals  meadow flower stamp and decorated with butterflies, and a dragonfly,  the large butterfly is cut from some pretty material and the other bugs from beautiful paper designed by Lesley from CB a while back.
Of course the frame needed a box and it's been decorated with  Oxides and floral stamps by John Next Door,  can't remember what the butterfly is, might be XCUT, but it's painted with Starlights, all finished with some gems.
This was for Ang and thankfully she loved it.

It was lovely to meet up with Chirstine Harrop and John Lockwood and we all had a lovely lunch together,
Here we are having a good old tuck in.
We were taken to Stratford so a visit to the Royal Shakespeare Company was a must, unfortunately the times of the plays didn't fit in with our time there.
Final one honest...
The lovely Mrs. D and me outside Shakespeare's house, Alistair took it a bit far away, more about the house than us I think.

It was a lovely trip even although it took two 8 hour days to get there and back, but the travelling was fine, and I learnt something new, apparently you can't flush your goldfish down the train toilet... the voice informed me of this when I had to pay a visit to the loo, now of course this was on Virgin trains, maybe there is a different policy on others. I like to learn something new every day.

It was so lovely to meet up with Christine again, it had been a few years ago and of course I'd never met John before, I enjoyed blethering with him and he's such a pleasant guy.

We are glad to be back home though, having such a good time is tiring, and of course I missed Teallach.

Thank you all for leaving lovely comments on my last cards, I do appreciate every comment, and I will be catching up with you all soon.
Till next time take care,

Your Butterfly frame is gorgeous, lots of wonderful CB images :) We are very worried about my 89 year Dad and step mom who live in South Florida and right in the path of Hurricane Irma, part of the reason why I haven't been sleeping well recently. They were not evacuated as they are not close enough to the coast. Take good care, Shirleyxx

Kate, your beautiful frame work of art and fabulous decorated box are just amazing! Thank you for sharing the photos of your visit to the Doodahs! Great to see Ang in the photos and how lovely that you got to see Christine, too, and meet John!! BTW, thank you for the random tip about the train loo rules - and there was me planning to bring dead Goldie for my next trip over there. Best flush her here then, despite what I promised me grandmother! Phew! Hugs, Darnell
