I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!

Hello Everyone and welcome to my blog,  it's always good to see you and a warm welcome to Mia, who is my latest Follower, I hope you visit often Mia and thank you for choosing to click the follow button.

Well we are up to our eyes in decorating the bedroom, I've been sent out of the way as it seems I was getting in the way.  It's always such a big deal as we have a very small house, in fact it's a glorified hen hutch... even some of them are bigger, so trying to clear the room of furniture is awful as there is really nowhere to put it.  I can't even get into the toilet as it's jammed packed with chests of drawers. Alistair thought he had left enough room for me to squeeze through, ha ha!! no way can I get through the space.
As we have had to bring stuff downstairs, Teallach is freaking out and can't get to his hidy hole, and at the moment is sitting on top of the mattress which is on it's end.  Damian help Alistair to move the heavy things this  morning and will come back to help put the room back together when the painting is done, which will only take a couple of hours, that's not the hard part.  Do you ever wish you hadn't started something.   We won't be doing it again.

Anyway, enough of that. Here is my card for sharing today;
This is my first usage of the new Oxide Inks, which I've make my background with. I like them, and find them easy to blend. The image is the lovely cottage scene from Crafty Individuals, and lots of sparkle. Inkylicious deer and I've doodled a silver border around the background with Sakura Pen.
It's turned out alright I think.

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my previous card, love to read what you say.

I hope you all have a good weekend with some good weather, it's not brilliant up here, but what can you do.

Take care of yourselves and see you soon,

I would like to enter my card into https://scrapsoflifebyscrappymo.blogspot.co.uk/2017/06/june-rudolph-days-challenge.html

A beautiful, glittery Christmas scene Kate, your oxide background looks wonderful too. I'm trying to make up my mind whether I NEED them or not :)
I have all the distress inks and wonder if I will use these as well, what's your opinion?
I hope the decorating is soon finished for you and your home is soon back to normal, always a big upheaval - I dread it every time.

Nice to see you having fun with your Oxide inks Kate, looks like some wilted violet and pistachio in there, my two favourites and a touch of broken china as well perhaps. A lovely card anyhow.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and hope you soon get the decorating sorted and back to normal.

Well I can tell you I am not dreaming of Christmas - not now anyway. Dream away Kate - with a delightful cottage to say in like the one on your card I would definitely dream especially if I could be in Scotland! I have not tried my distress oxides yet but I have really loved the colors that I have seen other people use.
Have you found that when you redo one thing you have to redo something else!!!!! Good luck kid.
Your Christmas card is delightful Sugar!!

Hope all goes well with the renos and your bedroom gets put back together soon. Your poor kitty will be glad to see this happen too.

My daughter moved to our neighbourhood yesterday and her poor kitty was anxious ever sine the first box was packed. Cats are so sensitive!

The scene you stamped and coloured is very pretty and your design looks great.

Thanks for taking part in the June Rudolph Days Challenge.

A gorgeous background for your beautiful cottage Kate and the little deer are the icing on the cake. Glad you're having fun with your new oxides.

I can sympathise with you over the decorating as our little cottage is like living in a dolls house. It was a nightmare when we had our kitchen done about 3 years ago. It will all be worth it! Hugs, Barbxx

Hi Kate,
what a very lovely card and your stamped design is fab.
Wonderful DOI inked background and the colurs are so pretty.
Your decorating sounds a little like what I would have to do too.
We have a quite small Bungalow and I want decorating and new carpets, but where to put the furniture while this is being done is so frustrating.
Hubby came up with hiring a van to put the furiture in while the work is being done, but of course that is more expense again.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

You do sound like you're busy Kate but I'm sure it will all be worth it when it's finished. Your card is lovely. Crafty Individuals and Inkylicious are my favourites and I love the card that you've made with their stamps. The deer is a lovely addition to the Winter Cottage. Crafty hugs, Sandra x

Lovely card, the addition of the deer finishes it off perfectly. I feel your pain at the decorating. We need to redecorate our bedroom too, but we need to excavate the back bedroom first so that we can sleep in there!

Well it sounds like you are having a heck of a time with the redo. I understand small, we downsized tremendously when you took this place on the lake. Hubby wanted to buy an electric griddle for cooking pancakes, I said, where the heck are we going to put it, on the patio! lol. Hope it gets done quickly for you.

Just love the card! The image is magical, how I would love to have a little cabin in the woods with deer everywhere! Love the colours on the frame, just beautiful!! sending hugs :)
