Another Breath of Spring!

Hello Everyone, how's your day been, good I hope.  I know some of you have sadness in your life just now, so sending kind thoughts out to you and hope life begins to get kinder to you.

Well the start on another week, and month, are they not just speeding ahead, I just want to put the breaks on.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my last card, they are much appreciated.

We got our bedroom all painted and put back together again, thankfully with the help of Damian as we were whacked, we are so lucky that he live a few minutes from us and he had things in place in no time. It looks all lovely and fresh, and our Teallach has settled back down, poor wee guy was freaked out by it all.

Did anyone watch Outlander?  I sold it to Alistair saying the scenery was fantastic, which of course it is.  Now Alistair knows Scotland like the back of his hand, especially the Highlands having walked and climbed all over them.  I couldn't get him to shut up about the locations, it went something like this.... there's no Standing Stones near Culloden!.. that's a scene in Glencoe, they're supposed to be just above Inverness, the two places are not near one another.... on and on this commentary  kept going. It drove me mad, I commented that the Locations Manager unfortunately didn't consult him before the shooting of the film and that they don't take in to account know it alls who continually look for mistakes and can't use their imagination. He does the same with The Loch which is a drama that takes place around Loch Ness.  I'm watching it on my own next week.  Anyhow if you did watch it I hope you enjoyed it.

Here is my card for today;
Just for a change.. Chocolate Baroque from the Breath of Spring set of stamps, heat embossed and Derwent Coloursoft Pencils on a DI background.  I made this ages ago and just getting around now to posting it.

That's me for now, have a good evening and see you soon,
I would like to enter this card into:http://sirstampalotchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2017/07/july-anything-with-flowers.html

A lovely card Kate and I love the colours. I really must get some Chocolate Baroque stamps. Aren't men funny. They really are so picky. I get a history lesson with every episode! I'm loving Outlander and The Loch. The scenery really is very beautiful and since we got our big new telly it really is a pleasure to watch. Barbxx

Hi Kate
Oooh, that green adds a lovely freshness and the flower stamp is so pretty.
You do make me laugh. My ex used to think he knew all about flying because he had a flight simulator game on his computer. Every flight, we had a bloomin running commentary about what degrees the flaps were at, lol!
Hope your pasta survived this evening.

Good morning Kate. Love your card with its fresh colours. You sound like you have had a busy time. We have been talking about doing the living room up, we just keep thinking of the unheaval to. Poor Alastair, I am a bit like that and get annoyed when the scenery is all wrong.

love the fresh green in your background Kate, the delicate flower has been beautifully coloured, a wonderful card. Loved Outlander and am enjoying the Loch, producers do need some poetic license though.

What a very striking creation Kate, love the zesty background (twisted citron perhaps - it's an occupational hazard of mine) then the soft hues of the focal image against the pink background all make for a glorious card.

Yes, been watching the Loch and need to catch up on the last episode which is recorded, it's quite a dark story line but very enthralling - I have two or maybe three possible culprits at the moment.

Many thanks for joining in at Stamping Sensations this month.

Hi Kate,
beautiful card and it's so pretty.
Wonderful stamped image and gorgeous colours.
I was disappointed as I have already seen series 1 and 2 and thought it was series 3.
Still it sure is worth a watch again for the scenery and the acting.
I did wonder about those stones as I have holidayed around your parts and never seen them.
I also watch the loch and couldn't figure out there scenery in that as I have been out on lochness and driven around it.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

A lovely card with that lovely green background and the pretty flower.
I love Outlander, I've read all the books and watched series one and two on prime. I'm sure we can allow them so artistic license on the locations, it is fiction after all. My husband loves it, he is rewatching series one now showing.

Thanks for joining us at stamping Sensations this month

I loved your post Kate and laughed and laughed. Isn't that just like a man!!! He just did not get it -- you loved the scenery -- not the facts - you were so caught up in the story you did not need stark facts. Just the beautiful story and scenery.
Wonderful card Sugar!

Your card is stunning, love how fresh it looks.
I did laugh about the telly, think I married one of those as well. His expertise extends into script writing as well, "why don't they just tell the truth rather her than lie about xyz, so it all blows up later?" I then have to explain that it's not real and that if they told the truth there'd be no plot! Wouldn't swap him though, well, most of the time....

Glad to hear that your house is back in order, for you and for the little one. Don't you just hate it when they make those kinds of errors on TV and in movies. I have actually turned off some movies because it's so bad that I can't concentrate on the story line! It's like they think nobody will notice or care. Wrong again people!

Such a beautiful card! I love the summery colour palette, it's so bright and cheery! The flower image is stunning and I adore the glittery accents! Wonderful layering and the sheer bow is a delightful addition! sending hugs :)
