Tulips!

Hello to Everyone, thank you all for your visits and comments, I do appreciate the time it takes so I'm pleased that  you pop in.

How are you all doing? well I hope and enjoying your weekend..gosh almost at the end of January, time is marching on.

We've had a quiet weekend, I have been sorting out my craft room, which includes sorting out space for all the yarn I have, I must stop buying the stuff. I've found lots of gorgeous yarn obviously meant for a project, but can I remember what...can I hang! Anway, I'm having a good old clear out of stash I've bought at the beginning of my crafting journey, and maybe used once, or not used at all. Create and Craft have a lot to answer for. It's a good exercise to find out what you have.

Thanks for your kind words about these pains I have, I can only think it's athritis, and basiclly it's just a case of taking pain killers. Having had a scan on my legs and knee that was giving me trouble early last year, nothing was found and was told, well it's your age and diabetes. Well, maybe so, but it felt dismissive, so now I don't bother to go to the doctors for aches and pains.  My mum, many years ago when she began to feel sore, always said that the doctors didn't care all that much when you were old, I thought that couldn't possibly be so and that she was just exagerating, now I'm not so sure.   Heavens above too, I'm not old, but there you go.

My card today is for the CB Colour Challenge 31;

I've used the lovely Tulip stamp which was one of the AYOS stamps the other year, it's one of my favourite stamps from that collection.
I've coloured the imaged with SN Aqua pens, and the background is coloured with DI and  swirly images form  The Gift stamp set also from CB.
SB die, Creative expressions Antique Gold, Just Pearls and some Glossy Accents and job done.

I was awfully lucky to be in the top 3 from last months challenge, I get really excited when that happens lol.

Well, that's Endeavor on now so must say cherrio for now, take care and see you soon,
I would like to enter my card into;http://chocolatebaroquechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/challenge-thirty-one.html

A totally stunning card, Kate! So beautiful! I love the colours you used. I am trying to have a clear out too, but it is happening very slowly. Hopefully I will create some space and make a new crafter very happy! I know a couple of people who have only just started stamping so will give them first dibs on what I get rid of.
Aches and pains do seem to sneak up on us. I think part of the shock is that I am still 35 in my head, but my body is beginning to say no sometimes!

such a beautiful make Kate - really really lovely. I adore that stamp! As for the medical profession and older people - I think you're right. The contrast in the way Shaun was looked after to that of my dads care was very marked! Sad but true. Big hugs lovely lady x

Keep trying to do a bit of tidying in my craft rooms too.
Sorry you too get aches and pains! wish I could sleep for them..
Hugs Pam x

Well done on your achievement in the challenge last month, yes it is exciting x Perhaps we shouldn't just take it from our doctors when we are told we 'just' old but we all tend too x I think your Mum was right. Such a pretty card today and loving the glorious colours x

Love the colours you used for the tulips Kate, soft and warm tones that I love,as someone with 35 years in the NHS I totally agree with what you say, as older Gp's retired I noticed that many of the younger ones didn't visit/treat people with the care they were due.

Very pretty card Kate.
Sorry to hear you've felt dismissed by your doctor. I guess some doctors have better "bedside manners" than others! Hope you feel better soon.

Good to have a clear out and clear up of your craft stuff every now and then. Good luck with it.

Hugs, Sarn xxx

That is one beautiful card Kate, just gorgeously lovely. You have coloured those tulips beautifully. Would love to know what you think about the quality of the SN watercolour pencils, I've read so many reviews some really good and some really bad. It doesn't help when that's the case as I have limited crafting funds and don't want to purchase a supply to then realise the quality is not that great lol!

Sadly I know what you and mean about doctors. I've complained to GP & previous RA consultant about burning heat and pain in my hands & both said 'it's your fibro/RA'. A new RA consultant last year so I complained to her, she thought RA but sent for tests just in case.

Had tests a couple of weeks ago and the junior doctor commented on how hot my hands were and she had not had anyone with hands that hot before as it's usually her hands that are the hottest. It turns out that I have carpal tunnel, not great news but I was so ludicrously happy that I tested positive, lol, because they've been saying it's your RA/fibro and it isn't!

Naughty Milo chewing your cashmere, it's awful when they do that, been there and done it lol! xx

This is beautiful Kate, such a pretty image and lovely colours.
I took my Mum to the Doctors today, she suffers terribly with her back - all he would do is increase the strength of her pain killers, it does seem that they prefer to just manage things rather than try to find out the cause and do anything about it!
I hope your pain subsides soon, I sometimes think the cold, wet weather doesn't help.

Hi Kate, I'm sorry to hear that you are still suffering. I think you're right that many doctors now do seem to be very dismissive as we get older. I feel lots of it sadly is to do with funding.

Your card is beautiful. I love your tulips and the colouring is lovely. Barbxx

Hi Kate,
oh I do hope your pain eases soon.
You are very right their stock answer is stupid things, and I too hate going to the docotors as they don't listen to you especially at our age.
When you think our visits pay their wages too.

Love your wonderful card and the tulips are gorgeous.
Wonderful paper used, and such a very great design too.
Your pearly dots are excellent as well.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Gorgeous project Kate and fabulous colouring. Sorry to hear that you are suffering aches and pains. Going through similar myself at the moment and tend to feel I am being a pain if I go back to the Doc. too. Mostly due to getting a bit older I suspect - eek. At least the basic tests have not shown up anything untoward. Good luck with the Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge, hugs x
