Ye Ha!

Hello Crafty Friends and Visitors, middle of another week, whizzing by as usual.
My we have had some lovely weather over the last week or so, decidedly Autumnal, but sunny and warm throughout the day. just that bit of nippiness in the morning and as evening comes.

I had a lovely weekend with Teallach and Alistair and friends had a super time climbing up An Teallach, but of course he forgot to take the camera.  He slept in the car, but said he was comfy, I don't know about that, we have a Nissan Micro and although I think it's a Tardus, I doubt very much if it would be all that comfy. However he was happy, saying that if I'd been there then yes of course he would have booked a room, in actual fact it would have been me that booked, he was just too lazy to do it for himself.

Thank you for all your kind comments on my CCC cards, you are so encouraging.

I have a card and some knitting today;
Now I'm sure you will all recognise this sweet LOTV image. I've had him for years but never coloured him in before, used pencils, LOTV paper and sentiment, buttons and card candy and a piece of twin for a lasso. I bought loads of the lovely cute LOTV stamps years ago when I had some children to make cards for, but sadly they have all grown up and now wouldn't appreciate a card like this one, but you never know someone might come along wanting boy cute.

Socks for our friend Ken who's birthday is very soon, but he was given them as he will be  in New York on his big number day, pleased to say he loves them.
Socks for another big birthday boy, Simon, he hasn't got these of his cards yet, but won't be looking on here.

So pleased to have got these done and dusted and now on to  a Snowman scarf, and it's The Snowman, for a friends Christmas.
I found this on Pinterest and thought it's just me to a T, the knitters and crocheters will know just what I mean.

I think that will do me for today, a wee bit photo heavy, hope you don't mind.

Take care everyone and see you soon

Youmade me s mile saying that Alistair had slept in the car. John was exactly the same! When he was on his own he always took a tent but often ended up sleeping in the car. I am not one for "wild camping" so if I was there it was always B&B!! He liked the fact that he could get up early and be on the mountain before breakfast was served at a B&B!!! Anyway - your card. I love the little cowboy image and your backing paper. Like you I don't have any little ones to send "cute" cards to. Your socks are fabulous but I wouldn't have the patience I'm afraid. Hope all is well. Hugs Christine xx

I am convinced that when men are indulging in their favourite hobby they will say anything is comfy Kate - one of our son's is a keen surfer and goes off on a whim with the promise of surf and invariably sleeps in his car and always tries to convince me it's warm and comfy - even in the middle of winter.

Lovely knits and what an adorable card you are sharing today.

Sounds like alistair had fun. I hope he keeps to his word should you be going! I remember being blown off the top of a cliff in a tent on skye and having to sleep in the back of a fiat panda! Not good! I love your card and the knitting is amazing! Big hugs rachel xx

A sweet little cowboy image Kate and beautiful card, lovely warm looking socks too which is what you need for winter in Scotland.
Sounds like Alistair had a great time but I bet he loves to get back home to his comfy bed and home cooked food too.
Take care,
Lorraine

LOL love that quote, I weave in as I go cause the thought of doing it all at the end would be my idea of hell.
Loving both pairs of socks Kate, lovely strips.
The card is super cute too, I also bought a few LOTV stamps when they first came out and having used them. My two are both too old for stamps now. I had good intentions at the time!
I once had a teacher who slept in his car when we went camping with the school a long time ago. I have a photo to prove it!
He was comfortable too but I'm afraid I like my home comforts too much and am with you all the way booking somewhere. It's amazing how cold it gets once the sun goes down.

Hugs Erika. x

Hi Kate,
your card is so very lovely, and that stamped image is soooo! sweet.
You have coloured it wonderfully.
Love the socks, and they are going to be so pleased with them.
Yes being a knitter I know what you mean.
Mind you I don't knit that much now only dish cloths.
I think Alistair must be very comfortable with your driving skills if he sleeps while you are driving.
My hubby also sleeps when I am driving also per haps it's a man thing.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

A super card Kate, a fun image - perfect for a youngster. You sound like me though, we don't have any youngsters in the family at the moment - we're waiting for the next generation to arrive!
Fabulous socks, you are so good at knitting.

Loving this card Kate, a gorgeous little image and your socks look so warm and cosy. I did do quite a bit of knitting many years ago but I never attempted to make socks! Thanks for commenting on my blog, I really appreciate it. Enjoy the rest of your week.

Hi Kate
Very cute card and image. I'm.no good with kids cards so glad I don't have any to make lol!
It would be me in this house who is likely to "rough" it (Mr D likes his creature comforts) but even I would draw the line at sleeping in the car lol! Would worry that someone might nosey through the windows at me lol!
Best wishes

Kate, what a fabulous card. Andrew did all night fishing and would often sleep in the car. I think it's a man thing. You would hardly believe that in knitted the same socks and was going to take pictures of mine tomorrow. This was part of the wool stash I bought from Inverness. Two minds think alike. Won't be long till October and we meet up again. Hugs Rita xxx

Your little cowboy is so cute. Funny how we buy a stamp then don't use it forever, and then when we do we wonder why we didn't sooner!!! I am sure this card will come in handy when you least expect it. Socks are wonderful, I envy you that talent!!

Sue
