Happy Birthday Husband!

Hello Blogging Buddies, I hope you are all well and having a good weekend. I've been reading that quite a few of you have been to the NEC in Birmingham, but commenting on your mixed reactions to it. Shame when organisers are so greedy.

Thank you for your kind wishes for our Anniversary and hubby's birthday you are all so kind.
We have had a lovely couple of days, our meal was delicious, I was very careful with what I ate, I always suffer, especially when I eat later in the evening, but the Birthday Boy fairly tucked in. We rounded off the celebrations last night by going to a concert by the Mahler Players, totally brilliant concert with Mahler's Symphony No. 5 being the main piece in the programme. Wonderful piece of music and so well performed. Mahler is Alistair's favourite composer so it was really lucky that this concert was on at this time.  So I've got his birthday card to share;
I thought the images were just the sort of his card, I used a DoCraft globe image which has been heat embossed with WOW gold powder, Chocolate Baroque Cogs stamp and Kanban heels and cogs card, some twine and a little clock charm.

Well it's almost time for the Scandi Noir drama and as it's all subtitles, I'd better finish off here, cos if you miss any words, you miss what's going on.
So I will say Good Night and hope to see you soon, take care everyone,

Great birthday card for Alistair. Glad you enjoyed the meal and concert. I'm afraid I can't watch anything with sub titles. When I watch television I am always doing something else at the same time and as you say you need to concentrate fully on the drama. We did miss you on Thursday but hopefully another time!! Hugs Christine xx

Hi Kate
Lovely to hear that you have both enjoyed your dual celebrations.
Well this is just spot on for an intrepid explorer like young Alastair.
A definite manly card.

It sounds as if you both enjoyed your Birthday and Anniversary Celebrations with a delicious meal and a wonderful concert.

The card you made for your hubby's birthday looks great. Hope you enjoyed your Scandi Noir. I find watching subtitles so hard to follow as I get older.

hi Kate ...what a great card for Alistair...bet he was chuffed.....and your celebration sound good fun...especially the meal!.....I didn't get to the NEC this year either but many of my pals say it was very dull and unless you went to stock up nothing exciting or new.....so I just splurged online!.....have a lovely weekend xxxx

Kate, does it seem a year ago you were wishing Alistair a Happy Birthday when we were away in Birmingham, Time is just going past so quickly. When is your big concert this year, or are they not doing one? Hazel X

Super card Kate. How lovely to be able to go to concerts and hear such wonderful music. When my husband was well we used to go as we both love classical music and in his younger days he was a professional musician playing the double bass.

A super manly card for hubby's birthday, I hope he had a good one. Loving the embossing and all the cogs.
I used to go to the trade show in Birmingham every year and it is really expensive down there, unfortunately they've got you once you are in the centre and take full advantage of it.

Hugs Erika. x
