Wedding Carriage!

Good Afternoon.... late afternoon really, it's almost teatime, where has the gone????? Well, I'll tell you, I been making cards, nothing unusual in that you might think, but I'm churning them out at a rate of knots for a craft fair, and it's damned hard work. Just how do you girls who do a lot of craft fairs and design on teams manage to do it all. It's taken me all afternoon to make three cards. Mind you I don't have a craft room, the end of the dining room table is my area, then I have to keep popping into the spare bedroom for all my bits and pieces, then I have to put up a little folding table to put up my die cutting machine, then I need to find a place to use the guillotine, and it goes on and on.  I think that's the hard bit.

Anyway we just make do don't we, martyrs to our passion, crafting I mean.
My friend Dale is organising a craft fair and has asked me to have a stall, like a numpty I said yes, and it's next week, so although I have quite a few cards in my box it's mostly Christmas and Birthday ones, so I've been very busy trying to make the other occasion cards.

It is at this point I would like to thank all my crafty friends who have offered tips, advice and even cards to help me on my way. You are all so kind, and a thank you too for the kind words left on my last card.

I was off down to Fort William yesterday to meet a fairly new Blogging Friend, Janice, who doesn't have her own blog, but does comment on mine and others.  I arrived a bit worse for wear, as I had discovered that I suffer from motion sickness on the bus, and this is because it is a very windy road along the Loch side down to Ft. Bill. Thank goodness Alistair was with me, he was going for a walk up Ben Nevis, cos I was in some state.  So the upshot was that I had to buy food bags tissues and try to get some kind of meds to enable me to bus it back after my visit.

It was a lovely visit, it's great to put a name to a face, we could have blethered all afternoon, but we only had a couple of hours. Thankfully the return journey wasn't as bad, the tablets must have worked and I managed to get the front seat on the bus.

This is one of the cards for the fair, LOTV image and coloured with SN Aqua pens, SB Floral Ovals dies, Hunkydory card, and Crafters Companion, silver Centura Pearl card. Ribbon, and flowers from my box, a peel off sentiment, Pink and White Pearls and some Star Dust for sparkle.

I hope everyone is well, but sending kind thoughts out if your not, take care everyone and see you soon,

This is a lovely card Kate. Wish I had your talent and patience to colour the images.
Thanks for your visit yesterday. The time did go past so quickly, and we didn't just talk about cards, either. Like you, it's great to match a name to a real person, especially when they are as nice as you are.
Cheers
Janice

Fab card. You poor thing I used to get travel sick going backwards on the bus when I was little. Hope the fair goes well. Having a craft room helps enormously as everything is to hand, saves loads of time. Maybe a spare room in your house?

this is really pretty Kate - and so glad you had a good visit - although the travel sickness sounds a bit rough! Big hugs rachel x

Sounds like you had a lovely afternoon chatting with Janice, shame the motion sickness spoilt the journey though.
A lovely Wedding card and with the Summer being a time for weddings I'm sure this will sell in no time. Good luck with the fair, I'm doing the same as you at the moment as I have a two day one coming up this weekend.

Glad you enjoyed your time with Janice after the rough journey.
Beautiful card for your craft fair Kate.
I am a very slow crafter, you did well doing three cards in an afternoon.

Such a gorgeous card Kate, I love the sweet image and your design is so beautiful.
I know how you feel, I craft on the dining table too and have to put everything away when it's dinner time. I think I will have to wait for one of the children to leave home until I can have a craft room!
Good luck with getting everything ready for the craft fair, I am sure your cards will be very popular.

Bless your heart on the motion sickness. I'm so glad you recovered enough to be able to enjoy meeting your new friend. Isn't that great? I'm looking forward to that over the wkend too. Your card is just lovely with the sweet little couple on their way, with the trailing hearts tied onto their carriage. This oval is one of my favs of the S/B ovals, and I liked the shadow effect you've done. So many pretty extra details too. Good luck with production line, and hope you make a good haul. Love reading the names of these places you visit and think numpty is just a precious description! TFS & full speed ahead! Hugs

Kate, your card is lovely. The image and coloring so pretty. I love the ovals, I think I use them very often myself, they are so elegant on a card. Good luck with your card making, sometimes when it seems a job, it sucks the life out of making them. Glad you recovered from your motion sickness on the bus so you could enjoy your visit with a new stamping friend, that can be a bugger once it takes hold.

Hugs
Sue

Oh dear! Motion sickness can suck the joy out of any trip. Glad you survived the ordeal. That's a cute card, Kate...I take forever to make a card. Craft fair would be out of the question for me. I wish you much success, my friend.

Good morning Kate, I hope you are feeling better after your "memorable" journey.
I can imagine the chatter and laughter. It is such a good feeling to put a name to a face.
Good luck with the Fair, don't panic just do what you can.
Today's card is brilliant, LOTV images are so handy for any type of cards.
I find them so useful for children's cards.
Hazel and I are meeting up this morning. Hopefully we can find a day to get up to see you soon.
Have a good day

Such a lovely wedding card Kate!
I guess you did not know before hand that you would be prone to motion sickness. We have had several bus trips around Scotland leaving from Edinburgh. I do love Edinburgh!

Hi Kate,
what a gorgeous wedding card.
Beautiful image, and coloured so well.
You sound like me when it comes to crafting.
I can't churn out cards at a quick rate either.
Why don't to try making some milk bottle cartons, as these make up quite quick, and I found people loved them.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Gorgeous card Kate. I took over the spare room in my house but still do not have enough space when I make a card.

This card is lovely and I hope your craft fair stall is a bit hit.
I suffer very badly from travel sickness and can recommend some good tablets if you wish.
