Lavinia Leaves and a Striplet!

Good Evening Folks, I hope you've had a good Saturday and that you got some sunshine where ever you are.

We have had a lovely day, we went for a walk along Nairn Beach, mainly because for some reason I was feeling a bit ladie dadie dum, and I felt I need to get out to clear my mind of all the nonsense going on in it, I wouldn't have put a foot over the door otherwise.  We managed to get to the end of our walk before the rain started, but it was good, not all that warm and a bit windy but it helped to blow away the cobwebs.

My lovely hubby told me to take a "day off", just sit with my feet up and do nothing, so he made lunch and dinner, so I have to say I feel much better now, I have been awfully tired lately and it's the old diabetes not behaving itself.

Thank you to everyone who left a comment on my Friday Oldie, very much appreciated.
Here is today's card;
Sorry the photo is bit blurred, my photography is a bit of a hit or miss.
My lovely Friend Hazel of Baskets of Joy, gave me a few of these lovely Striplet die cut outs and I've just got around to using them. I don't know what this one is called, but you gals who love these dies will know. I've pot a polka dot card behind the cutout and stamped Lavinia lives down the side. Sentiment, a stamp I had in my box, added some golden Pearls and Bob's your Uncle.
I wish the photo had been better, and I've deleted the original, oh well, worse things happen in the great scheme of things than  a pants snap.

I hope everyone is well, but sending kind thoughts to those who are not.
What we need is some Summer weather, a bit of heat and less rain, I've even had to resort to putting on the heating some days, there will be no energy savings this year me thinks.

There is an annoying thing on Blogger just now, a bar at the top wanted you to take cookies, even when you accept it still comes back the next time you go on to the blog page, sometimes Blogger is just a pain in the butt. If anyone knows how to get rid of it, would you pleased let me know.

Well back to Indiana Jones, could take a part in it, waiting for a new drama on Channel 5 about King Tutankhamun, bet that's not spelt correctly, at 9 o'clock, I love anything that's epic with a cadst of thousands although nowadays it's all computer generated.
Enjoy the remainder of your weekend and see you soon,

Lucky you to have Hazel gift you with this gorgeous SW striplet. She & her Sister enabled me on several of these lovely dies..but I don't use them as well as lots of you! It's beautiful with the background behind it, and a perfect complement to those swirling leaves. Also liked the golden pearls. I'm hoping we get the Tut on our Public Broadcast System too, as I've always been fascinated with that subject. Wish I could share some of our hot sunshine with you. Enjoy the show, and TFS. Hugs too.

Hi Kate, like the card. You always show a good variety of styles.
I needed the winter coat on tonight when I took the dog out, it's perishing here, Derek even put the heater on and he rarely feels cold.
Hope you feel a bit better. Looking forward now to Tues,
Hugs

Good morning Kate,
Sending you a few ((((hugs))) sounds like you need them.
Your card is brilliant even if a bit blurred.
As you say worse things can happen. Life's too short to worry about the sharpness of Photos.
I love using these Striplet Dies. You could use them for a Lantern, just don't use the outside cutting edge.
Enjoy your Sunday

Your card looks quite pretty - I know what you mean about the pictures, they never seem to convey how pretty the card really is.
I wish I could give you some of our hot weather.
Kate, we just got back from Peru where I did see a baby Alpaca.
We also saw Machu Picchu - beautiful!
Autumn is fast approaching and so is Halloween!!!!!

Hi Kate I hope you are feeling a bit better today. I know what you mean I blame the weather, we've had our heating on too. Maybe a bit of sunshine would make us all feel a bit better?
I love those striplet dies, great card too. I really need to think about investing in a couple.
The blogger thing is annoying too. Apparently it is a European thing!
Maybe over time they may drop it.

You take care of yourself, big crafty hugs Erika. x

Hi Kate
Sorry to hear you're not feeling yourself (that sounds a bit rude but you know what I mean lol!)
Gorgeous card. I think the striplet is called Tethered Hearts.
Hope you're feeling better soon.
Take care.

Beautiful piece Kate, love those striplet dies myself but don't own these ones. I think it's because I'm nuts about stamps and the colouring mediums and the dies are useful but always necessary for me lol.

You're not alone hun if you have an off day and need to chat just let me know, am very down right now even though my imagination is firing with lots of ideas. I know for me there is some personal stuff (family) that has made me feel so down this year.

I think I need a visit to a beach and to see the ocean, been too long! Hope you have a better time next week Karen x
