Aurora Wings Geisha!

Hello to You All, hope you are all well, and sending out kind thoughts and hugs to those who are not so well.

Having an "at home" day, thought I would get some bits and pieces done, which if I go out to the town or shops I find just scuppers my day. I am however still looking at the ironing.  I like to iron whilst watching a film, but I made a deal with myself that I wouldn't indulge in day time TV, except for the odd C&C program if it's something that I would find useful.

Well my pet sitting went well, didn't loose any of them, none died, which did happen once whilst looking after my friend's rabbit, the wee thing died, and I was in a hell of a state as to what could have happened and how to tell her. Dale took it all very calmly, thankfully, Amanda, her daughter didn't, but there again she was only a wee thing.   Such a responsibility, I don't think I could do children.

Any old how, Damian and Moreen arrived back sooner than expected, as Damian had sun burnt ankles. What a mess when I saw them yesterday, so goodness know what they were like whilst he was away and it was agony to drive back all that way.  He said there was no way to get out of the sun where they were, but he had put sun factor on, but only once, silly lad, Alistair is just the same, you have to keep applying the creams. He knows now.  Pity that happened, other than that they enjoyed the Grand Prix.

My card share for today;
Now the colours are brighter in reality, this is a beautiful Geisha image from Aurora Wings, "Along came a spider" which you can find here. The artist Mitzi has the most amazing art work, why not visit her digital shop.
Coloured with SN Aqua pens and matted on to black card.Background paper is from Chocolate Baroque, one of Lesley's free downloads, printed velum from Parermainias' Oriental Treasures range
Tattered Lace Happy Birthday die, Die'sire lantern dies and flower, large pearl from my box, Liquid Pearls and Star Dust.

Thank you all for you lovely comments on my last card, your very kind and encouraging.

Off to make a start on that ironing, Alistair will be down in a moment to watch the Tour de France, he is upstairs on the fiddle, talk about being between a rock and a hard place LOL!!
Cheerio for now,

Kate, terrible about the sunburnt ankles...that must be a miserable place to burn! (Mr. did the same thing while wearing Bermuda shorts at a recent car show. Applied sun bloc, but only once, silly man). Loved this Oriental image, and your coloring with the SN Aquas. Debated on getting some of those, but opted for the Zigs instead. Best learn to use the Zigs before the aquas. I've not had great success with the SN regular pens..they feel very dry to me (but I learned on copics which have a softer tip). You did a fab job of coloring with your SN's, though, and I love the little embellie (?charm?) suspended from that pretty bow. So glad your animal sitting went well. We've done dogsitting for the DD, & it is a big responsibility. Have a great week. Hope you're enjoying your home time. TFS & Hugs

This is gorgeous Kate! The image is really lovely and your colouring is great!! When I retired I made the same vow - no daytime television and I've stuck to it. I'd rather craft or read anyway, I'm not a great lover of TV so it's not a hardship. Take care. Hugs Christine xx

Fabulous image and I love the embellishments.

My ironing pile is looking at me, but it has NO CHANCE today . . . too hot down here on the South Coast for anything other than lounging about with a good book!
