Snowy Trees for The Christmas Card Club!

Hello to You All, I hope everyone is fit and well and having a super weekend.  It's been a lovely day here, although cold it was dry, if a bit misty.

Thank you all very much for visiting me and leaving your lovely comments, especially Janice Wallace who doesn't have a blog, so I can't return the visit, so I do appreciate you popping in Janice.
Welcome too the my two latest followers, Kristie and Pawscreatively, I'm so pleased to have you here and I hope you will come back and see me soon.  I will be popping in to see you just as son as I can.

This has to be a quick post Friends, as guess what, yes, I've got the cold.  I managed to get through the day at work as it's my last day before a few days off, in fact though my colleague Michelle was struggling with the cold too, we were like a pair of book ends, fortunately the group dynamics were such that it was an easy pleasant day.

So for our Christmas Card Club Challenge this time around the theme is Snowy Trees and was our lovely Mary's choice, here is my offering;
I took inspiration from a Christmas Card out friend Dougie sent us, and the minute I saw it I thought that's the one I want to make as batch cards for next year. So this is my first attempt and I'm rather pleased with it.
Inkylicious Bare Trees Stamp set. DI for background, Memento Ink in Grey Flannel and London Fog for trees.
Sentiment from LC, Dovecraft Crystal Sparkle, Krylon pen in Silver and SN to make leaves on tree, Gems from my box.
The snow and fir trees are part of my photo editing program and not the card.

Thank you Mary for the challenge, I enjoyed taking part.

We have had a lovely Valentine's Day, when I came home Alistair has set the table, resplendent with a vase of beautiful lillies, and candle lit in an big green Appetise bottle. I had to smile at the effort, especially as we are not short of beautiful candlesticks.  Anyway, we had a gorgeous Indian meal and both feeling stuffed. Alistair is sitting beside me as I type this, sound asleep. Changed Valentine's celebration to nineteen years ago, oh well, one has memories!

Well, I will say good night, I'm fairly wilting, and hope you had a lovely VD, if you celebrate it, and I fab Saturday.

Beautiful card Kate. At least Alistair made an effort. My husband does not do Valentines so it was just the usual evening after he had watched 2 rugby matches and I cooked!

Bummer on that cold business! Poor you, after all the TLC nursing duties you've had, now I hope you get the same kind of TLC right back - to get you well! Your card is lovely. The twinkle of that glitter on the bare branches of those trees, just really sparkles right off the card. Like those snowy icycles that are dripping off the bottom edge as well. Take care, and TFS. Hugs

Thanks for the mention, Kate. I love to look around my favourite blogs while I relax, but sorry I don't have my own. I think I am doing well when I find some crafting time, but can't fit in anything else. Perhaps in a couple of years when I can hopefully stop working. (hard when you are self employed)
Valentine's day was good. 3 couples together at one house for the weekend. Good food, some wine and lots of laughs, oh, and a red rose for each lady.
How's the cold? I always reckon that men get flu, kids get the cold and women just get on with it. Same for you?
Take care

It's a really beautiful card Kate - I love what you have created. I've only kept a couple of shop bought ones that we received because I wanted to try similar and it's always been fun to create my own twist on it. Sounds like you had a lovely time hun, I hope the cold goes soon Karen xx
