The Crafting Group Makes!

Hello from a very wild and wet Inverness, and it's only 5pm and it's already dark.  Are you all having a good weekend, I hope so regardless of the weather.

I had my little craft group at work yesterday and we were making calender/cards.  Only two of my clients turned up, it's often difficult for them to commit to anything, but the two who came really enjoyed the session and made some lovely projects.  I got there permission to show them and one of the crafters;

The ladies made beautiful calender/cards and the is Inesa who made the candy cane one and the reindeer one at the right front.  I was really amazed by their designs as I had made up the packs with paper and embellishments and had a design in my head as to how the bits and pieces would be laid out, but neither Inesa or Diana made anything like I had in mind.  Each one I think is brilliant.

So it was a very successful couple of hours which we all enjoyed.

I'm now on holiday for a couple of weeks and I was supposed to be pet minding whilst Damian and Moreen went off to Italy for a wee holiday, but they've cancelled it as Molly the dog is not too well. Poor Molly is an old girl now and Moreen was really worried that Molly might pass away whilst they were away, and didn't want me to be left to see to things.  I think they have made the right decision as Moreen wouldn't have a good holiday for worrying.  We all get so attached to our pets.  I hope they will be able to get away at a later date.

I'm hoping to get a bit of serious cleaning done whilst off and hopefully some crafting, and then of course there's the Birmingham adventure, lots of nice things.

Thank you for commenting on my last card, I've yet to get around to visiting your blogs, I missed yesterday, fraid I dozed off after tea time and remained almost comatose for the rest of the evening, I was so tired.  This wee cat is up playing and wanting company around 5am, he'll have to get told it's still sleepy time.

Off now to pour a wee G&T to keep me going whilst I prepare the veggies for dinner.  I hope that you are well, and enjoying your weekend.
See you soon,

Looks like you & your buddies had a really fun time making some pretty calendars. How special that you got to spend the time together doing something that was obviously very productive and creative! Enlarged the pictures to be able to enjoy better and each calendar is so pretty & very individual. What wonderful gifts these might make. So happy to hear that you have some time off work to do as you like and hope your weather improves. We have another spectacularly lovely afternoon in my area of the world. I'm reading about this NEC trip you craft buddies are planning, and it sounds so delightful. Can't wait to see what goodies you all find (and hopefully share with the rest of us!). TFS & Hugs.

Good Evening Kate. Its been a terrible day here too. Lights have been on since breakfast time. Love the calendars your craft group made and I see some other pretty projects too. Winter has appeared with a vengeance as its been so dark and miserable for most of the week. Enjoy your time off work and your meeting with the girls at the NEC. Hugs Rita xxx

They are all so lovely, and it sounds like a very good time was had by all.
Enjoy you holiday for next few weeks.

Hi, Kate, congrats on your win over at Sue Wilsons blog today!!!! You will have to show us what you win at a later date.

Your cards are wonderful, and what fun to get together to stamp. Used to do that, but what started out as 8 of us is down to two of us who still stamp and make cards.

Enjoy your time off..........

Hugs
Sue

Very late this evening, have been along at J&As.
Brilliant cards/projects from your group.
Very wild here, the trees are almost bear, dark so early. I really do not like this time of year. Looking forward to Birmingham is certainly helping.
Sorry to hear about poor wee Molly, nothing worse as you can't tell if they are suffering.
Hugs

Hi Kate! What wonderful calendars you are showcasing. And so cool that you have the ladies from work creating with you.

I love all the different designs...especially the blue with the white snowflakes.

We have had a lot of rain lately but had a dry afternoon today. I should have been out in the garden working but spent the afternoon with my grandkids instead. We carved pumpkins! Such fun!

Hi Kate the calendars are all fabulous and what a good idea to have a craft group for your clients. What a shame about Molly but I am sure they made the right decision. I hope you have a wonderful break from your job and manage to squeeze in some crafty time too! Susan x

I hope you enjoyed your G and T. Great selection of calendars there. It is so frustrating when you plan something and folk don't turn up! A pet hate of mine. Still those who did seem to have enjoyed themselves.
Enjoy Birmingham, well gel!

Hugs Erika.
