Poppies for a Friday Oldie

Good morning to everyone, gosh imagine Friday already, this week has flown by.  I have days off now till next Wednesday, wonderful, but even more wonderful is that Hazel Baskets of Joy is coming up for a visit and I am looking forward so much to having out meet up. We will spend the afternoon eating and chatting, and making plans for out trip to Birmingham in November, which isn't that long away.

Our little Teallach is settling in well now and he is just a delight, he comes alive at night though, we hear him racing around the house a a great speed chasing his jingling toys.  I am learning what his various miaows mean. I've trying to introduce him to outside, and he has got as far as the doorstep and then ran back into the house. It just takes time, but he is interested as he looks out of the window.

I've got an "Oldie" today, this was my first card made for my friend Dale's birthday, which she has framed, isn't that just lovely.  She adores poppies and has all sorts of home accessories with poppy themes.
I've used a wonderful stamp from Sheila Douglass, and coloured with Promarkers, I really can't remember what else was used.
I was wondering what was wrong with the photo, I've not edited it, oh well it's not too bad.

Erika from Snappycrafts, started this Friday Oldie, just looking at something you made a while ago, maybe when you began crafting as it's good to look back and see how much your crafting has progressed, or not, anyway it's great fun, why don't you join in, it doesn't have to be a card, I've occasionally posted some knitting and sewing.

See you all soon, and thank you all for your lovely comments on my last card.
Keep well and sending out kind thoughts to those who are not so well for a speedy recovery.

Hi Kate, I love poppies to my Mom used to have so many of them in her side garden around the house. Your card is lovely and it is so nice when someone likes something you made enough not to want to part with it! Kitty sounds like he knows a good thing when he finds it, glad it is becoming such a warm and fuzzy relationship.

Hugs
Sue

This is gorgeous Kate, I love the poppies and beautiful design.
Glad Teallach is settling in. Our Claude used to come to life at night too. Once we forgot to cover the piano, he ran across it in the middle of the night waking us all up!
I hope you have a lovely time meeting up with Hazel.

Hi Kate,
what a super oldie.
I love those fab poppies, and your fab colouring of the stamped flowers.
Great designing too.
OOOOOOOOOO I wish I could join you at the NEC, but it's too close to Christmas for me, and having 12 grandchildren, and 2 little great grandchildren, not an option as my money goes on their pressies.
Maybe if I organize myself better next year I might join you, that's if you go again.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Beautiful poppies. Not sure what you thought was wrong with the photo as it looks perfect to me chuck. Might be going doolally but Im sure you showed some lovely poppy cards round the time you went to Iceland (the country, not the shop, for the benefit of new followers lol!).
Enjoy your days off and your meet up with Hazel. 3 weeks to the NEC, hurrah!
