Your in Our Thoughts!

Good Evening Crafty Friends and Visitors, I hope you are all keeping warm and safe.
Not great weather for us today, but miles better than down South, it seams there is to be no respite there for them, just so awful for them, we have been really lucky up here.

Thank you all for the lovely comments on my last post, we'll see tomorrow if Mr. Currie likes it.
We are going out for a Valentine's meal tomorrow night to a restaurant we have never been to before but has a great reputation, it's called Urquhart's, so that's to be looked forward to.

We had some sad news the other day, the wife for one of Alistair's friends host her fight against cancer. Cathy had overcome it a few years ago but sadly it came back and was really aggressive. We last saw her at a friend's daughters wedding in June and she seemed fine, can hardly believe that she has died.  What an awful disease cancer is!
We all hate making these sorts of cards, here is the one I've made for her husband Nick;
I've kept it very simple, I decoupaged the flower, I've had these for ages and really only use them for Sympathy cards.
Anita Silver Paper
SB corner from Frosty Forms
Sentiment from Flower soft, London Fog ink
Pearls from my box

That's me for tonight, off now to make a cuppa and put my feet up.
Keep well everyone and hope to see you soon

Lovely card for such a sad occasion Kate. I'm sure Alistair will love his Valentine's card and I'm sure you'll love your meal in Urquharts too. I haven't been in myself but it's a work friend's cousin that is the chef/owner and everyone I know who's been raves about it!

Hi Kate
Just trying to catch up after my absence. Beautiful, elegant card Kate. Often the sad ones are amongst the prettiest as we put a little bit of ourselves into them.
Its a cruel disease and the reason for the loss of my friend last week as well as my Mum and niece. My thoughts are with you both and Nick.
On a lighter note, loved your card for Alastair. Hope you enjoyed your meal.
Best wishes.
