Just a Simple Little Card!

Good Afternoon Blogging Friends, I hope you are having a lovely Sunday and still enjoying the fab weather.
It's been a bit dull here and looks as though it might rain.

I would like to welcome my latest follower, Dawn, to my blog, lovely to have you here and I hope you will like what I make.
Thanks too for all the lovely comments you leave when you visit, I know it takes time and everyone is busy, but I do appreciate them all.

I had my trip down to Perth yesterday to meet up with Patricia and Hazel, and although it was just for a few hours we managed to pack in a lot of chat and a good few laughs.  We had a lovely lunch in a quiet corner of the eatery and blethered away without disturbing the other diners, and then it was time to get back for my bus back home.  It was another long journey, the bus went round all the little towns on the way to Perth, same route coming back, took  three hours, but it's been yonks since I'd done this journey by bus and really enjoyed it.  I had my kindle and knitting, so the time passed quickly.  I was tired when I got home though, two long bus journeys in one week I think is too much.

I've had a quiet day, just finishing off cards as they have to go out this week, I still had to put inserts in them and make up a box for a wedding card. I find it's the finishing touches that take the most time, but that's them done and dusted, ready for the post.

I also managed to make a quick card for a teenage lad, it's very simple as I have no idea what he is into, here it is;
On kraft card I used card, borders and sentiment all from Kanban's Vintage Travel Range and a couple of buttons from my box.

I'm always stuck for teenage boys, girls are so much easier to do, and I did think ofgoing on line to find something, but I really need to start using up what I have.  On an economy drive!!

I had peace and quiet to watch Sue Wilson on C&C this afternoon, I'd booked my TV slot and Alistair took himself off for a cycle.  Did anyone watch, I sure you did.  What wonderful cards, I can see why many of you make SB cards.  I loved her techniques with the Guilding Flakes and putting glue on her stamp, how brave is that!  gave me loads of inspiration even although I don't have many of the dies.

Well Ladies and Gentlemen, if there are any who visit me, I'm off to carve the lamb, get the roasties on and pour a little G&T.

Enjoy the remainder of your day and see you soon.
Hugs Kate x

Good Evening Kate. It's been very hot here in the West and the sun is still shining brightly in a cloud free sky. I think your card is marvellous and will be loved as well. I'm not very good with male cards either Kate. Glad you All had a good day in Perth, even though it was a long journey for you. Enjoy your G & T. Hugs Rita xxx

Hi Kate

Absolutely roasting in Kent but it isn't the dinner!! Love the card I agree it is so hard to do cards for children in their teens especially!!

Lovely card though you have done really well.

Hi Kate
Gosh, you're brave having the oven on in this heat. Here, it wouldn't just be the lamb that's roasting lol! I've just got out of the shower and feel damper than when I went in!
Great card for a male of any age. They're pesky creatures at the best of times but more so when they need a card.
Yes, I do sell my jewellery so I will pop a few more bits on the blog over the coming weeks and if there's anything you fancy you can have it in November. . . . Its not that far away!
Enjoy your lamb. . . . . . Its cheese and onion baguettes at this end as Mr Duck took me out for brunch as he had to work this afternoon.

Fantastic male card Kate. I think all male cards are difficult to make no matter what age it is for.

Hi Kate fabulous card for a teen boy this is the most difficult type by far! We have BBQd every day as it is so nice to be able to sit out although I had the oven on for the baked potatoes! Have a great day, Susan x
