Thinking of You!

Good Afternoon Everyone, and I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend whatever you happen to be doing.
Weather wise, it started good today and now we have had an almighty downpore and it's turned a bit cooler.

Thank you all who took time out of their busy day to visit my last post and comment on my last card, going by the amount of comments it was a really popular and well liked card.

I would like to say thanks too for all the kind pieces of advice and good wishes for my welfare interview that took place yesterday.  I won't bore you all with what happened, but I don't think it went all that well and I am left somewhat puzzeled by what was proposed, and it feels that I will return to work to a situation that will very possibly cause further stress, so it's not looking good.  I was further thrown, by being told that I might not be able to return to work and go straight into annual leave, can you imagine my blood pressure at that, a holiday that had been booked since January.  I had to go home and await a phone call after the manager had contacted HR.  I thought my hubby was going to go into space when he heard this.  Thankfylly towards  the end of the day I had a phone call to say I could have my holiday.  Like I would'nt be going anyway. So, I wont be returning till later on in June and after I come back from holiday I will have to see where I go from here.  They have suggested that I have an appointment with occupational health, and I'm fine with that.

I was a bit down yesterday and really tired so didn't get around your blogs or post myself, it just felt all too much. but today is another day. Here is my contribution today;

LOTV stamp
Prisma colour pencils
First Edition and Fizzy Moon Papers
Purple card
SB corners
Flower Soft Sentiment
Pearls, Riverbank Revels set
Gems and ribbon from my stash
Glamour Dust
I had treated myself to some Prisma coloured pencils earlier on in the week, I already had Derwent pencils, but what lovely pencils Prisma are, quite different in texture from my other ones.  So a big thank you to Jacqui at http://jacquibourne7.blogspot.co.uk/,
who told me where to but them and which colours to get to start me off.  If you pop into visit Jacqui's blog you will see some really beautiful cards, with wonderful colouring.

That's my lot for today, going off now to try and get round to visiting you.

Hi Kate, sorry your interview did not go too well. Don't let them bully you if your doctor feels you are not ready to return them they cannot force you back. Bet your BP was sky high until you got the phone call. Take care. By the way your card is lovely. I have always loved the lilac and yellow combination and those flowers have been coloured beautifully.

Your card is stunning Kate. I love the image and the way you have coloured it looks wonderful.
I am sorry to hear that your interview didn't go so well. I agree with Wilma, if your doctor doesn't think that you are ready to go back to work then surely they cannot bully you into returning. Thank goodness you have your holiday to look forward to.
take care
hugs Sue xx

Fantastic card Kate. The colours and the colouring are brilliant.

Sorry to hear that you are having a bad time. Are you in a Union? If you are surely your union rep. should be able to do something.

Kate, the card is stunning. Great colouring.
If you are covered under Disability Discrimination Act they cannot enforce your return and definitely not to a more stressful situation. Under the terms of the Act they have to make all reasonable efforts to sort things for you.

Hi Kate. I cannot tell you how sorry I am to hear your dilemma has not got sorted out. Maybe get help from a union rep. You need to get this sorted out before your health suffers any more trauma. I love your beautiful card and the colours look fabulous. Keep your holiday at the front of your mind. Hugs Rita xxx

Wow, this is so beautiful, I've been toying with Prismas for a while now myself. Love the colour combo of this one. Sorry to hear things didn't go too well yesterday, hope you're feeling a bit more positive about it soon. Big hugs to you. Don't forget, crafting is the best medicines xxx

Hi Kate - first of a brilliant card, love the image and colours, I love my Prismas! Secondly I am so sorry to hear that your meeting didn't go well. It sounds to me that they should have someone from HR there as the person conducting the interview seems to have overstepped the line! I agree with the others about a Union if you are in one then they will support you through this. Your doctor should be putting on your sick note if you are fit enough to return to work on lighter duties. Occupational Health should be supportive and will advise you too! Above all try not to get stressed out by the whole situation - look forward to your holiday and carry on crafting!! Hugs Susan x
