We Cannot Direct The Wind!

Good Evening Everyone, gosh I'm late tonight, I hope you have had a great Sunday whatever you were doing and that the weather was kind to you.  It's been quite a mixture here today, but I've felt cold.

Thank you for all the lovely comments about my previous card, I'm pleased you you all liked it.
I've another new follower, so a warm welcome to Janina, it's great to have you visit.

I was left rather annoyed and frustrated earlier on as I was trying to get through to BT, I've decided at long last to go to another broadband provider and I needed to get a particular cod from BT.  An hour and a half I held on the phone, listening periodically to how busy they were and my call would be answered shortly.  Well I gave up, still not through, During this time I made the dinner, brought in washing and did a bit of ironing all with the phone glued to my ear.  What an unacceptable service BT provide and I am even more determined to change providers now.  Needless to say I'm disgusted.

Anyway, apart from that I've had a very pleasant day, didn't manage to get any crafting done but, here is a card I made a while back but not posted;
This was a commissioned card.  Creative Expressions stamp set, I've kept everything in shades of black grey and white. Papers are from a Debbie Moore Vintage Travel CD, Xcut dies Black card, inked around edges with Memento London Fog, the sentiment comes along with the stamp set, computer generated happy birthday, a couple of black gems.
Now when I asked what sort of thing was the recipient like I was told "shinty", well I hunted and hunted for something to do with this sport, even trawled the internet, but no luck.  So this was what I came up with, I thought that as it is for a older man, it would do, and after all it does begin with an S.

Off to bed now, hope everyone had a good night, see you soon,
Kate x

Gorgeous card Kate! I love the sentiment, being able to change the wind would've come in handy earlier, landing a plane in a crosswind is not fun haha!

Brilliant card, love the nautical theme. I've been asked for shinty cards too, my hubby plays and coaches, I even got asked for a wedding card with crossed camans on it! I usually end up having to hand draw an image. xx

Fantastic card Kate. I left BT and went to Sky for my telephone and broadband. When you sign up with another provider they generally get the Mac code for you and you usually have nothing to do.

What a challenge Kate, to ind a shinty themed image. You came up with a great alternative. Beautiful card hope it was well received. I, too, felt the cold yesterday the heating was on and off all day.

Hi Kate I must admit I have never heard of shinty! Your card is fabulous and I am sure it will be loved whatever shinty is! I left BT for Sky a few years ago now these automated messages and music do your head in, whatever happened to real people answering the phone??? Susan x

Good morning, Kate again you have come up with a great card, you will have to design your own shinty sticks and maybe a figure in action and get one of the stamp company's to produce it, there must be loads of card makers looking for shinty images,
Hazel.

Went to publish this when the phone went this morning, was needed into work Beth ill. Ended up running around like a headless chicken we have had to pop home to let Harris out. Beth fine just over tired from a busy weekend.

Great card Kate.
You have my sympathy re BT. But the gaining company should have a process to get the code from the losing company. It's been a while since I did this type of call centre work, I would assume that the system will be automated by now.

It seems that internet/phone/cable companies are always the worst when it comes to customer service!!! They know we NEED it, so they just can't be bothered with doing a good job.

Gorgeous card!! I'll bet it was really greatly appreciated!
