Sparkle and Shine

Good Evening Everyone, I hope you are all well today.

I would like to thank everyone who left such lovely comments yesterday for our friend's son.  I spoke to him tonight and the lad has gone through another 8hr. skin graft op.  He is being very brave, but the pain is awful  as my understanding is that they can't completely sedate him, something to do with organ failure.  His mum is with him and dad is trying to keep things going at home and as far as possible keeping as the days as normal as they can be at this time. Hopefully, each day will bring an improvement.

Also thank you for the comments on my card.

Today, brought some good news; another friend's son won a Baffta, albeit a Scottish one, the other night.  It was for the best animation.  He is a fantastic artist, which clearly shows through this award.  he only left Art College a year ago. His mum and dad were there to see him get the award, and as you can imagine they are oh so chuffed.  So where will he go now I wonder!.  Isn't life strange, two families, who by  the way know each other, children at same school, and one on top of the world and the other's world has crashed about them.

My other news is that I have won the I love Promarkers Challenge "Christmas Trees".  I'm just amazed that I did as I never think that my cards never come anywhere near all the fabulous cards that are entered into these challenges.  I do however enjoy doing them if I've got the right bits in order to do them.  Here is tonights card,
I am entering this into the Sugar Bowl Challenge and the theme is Sparkle and Shine
I've used a lovely little fairy stamp from Sugar Nellie, Digi.  Coloured with a mixture of pastel and watercolour pencils. LOTV sentiment, Nitwit backing papers, co-ordinations card, Xcut dies, doily from Lakeland, Papermania gems and a sparkley gel pen. Glitter card for the stars.  The colour shades of lavender, lilac and purple. not showing up too well here.

We'll see if this one's a winner, all good fun though.

Have a good night all, Kate x

Hi Kate, hopefully I can help. What you need to do is go to the web address you want to add the link for and either, go to the post heading, right click and choose "copy link location", the wording might differ depending on your browser, I use Firefox, or, go to the bar at the top (for example where it says culliesocks.blogspot.co.uk etc on your blog, highlight it and press ctrl and c to copy it.
Next, when you've typed up you blog post, highlight the word or words you want to make clickable, go to the link button (next to where the icon is to add an image) and a box will appear with your highlighted words in the top area, and a blank area for the URL you want to link to. Just paste what you copied in step one into it and click OK. This will give you a clickable link. xx
